How do I wire in all my electrical in the basement when it's all already insulated in vapor barrier I didn't have time and and the crew that came in did it too quick

I'm confused about the grounds. Why does it go to the back of the box? What is it doing there in the back of the box? What's the purpose of the grounds anyways? (I know absolutely nothing about electrical)
