That’s easier than I thought it would be. It’s basically just a relay but instead of voltage it uses light.

Ok, so many stew pid videos on here about this and I have the ek4336s intermatic light control. White wire always goes to any other white wire. Now the problem with the black wire that the sheet says goes to the power side of the power panel box and the red wire goes to connect load 1 wire switched hot to lights or contactor. Black and white are easy to wire to a switch. The problem is how to wire the red wire to my led christmas lights on my dock that the other 7 year old sensor burned out a few weeks ago.I can only see making a seperate plug to plug into the one receptacle side with one side going to the neutral in the plug and the red wire going to the hot side of the receptacle switch. Tell me if I am wrong? I would just need a blank or short wired plug with one end that goes into neutral and the other side plugs into the hot side. I have the same problems as many others. The lights stay on 24/7 once you wire them on. I've never seen or heard of anything like this in over 50 years. Hope you can help thanks. 🤪Yes, I fixed it. wire the black and white wires like doing house wiring and then you can crimp on the one red wird to one of the leads of you lead lights and the other end of your lights crimp a short wire and wire nut it to the ground wire. It worked off and on perfectly in the house current with the lights turned of and when you turned them back on. It only take about 10 seconds or less to turn on or off. Those people in that company are sooooo stew pid. Thanks for giving me the idea and played your videoed in slow motion so I could see what you were saying and pointing too. Everyone make it 100 times more difficult than it it.thanks.

What do I do with the ground wire that is coming from the house?
@secondchanceretro57393 жыл бұрын
Im probably to late, but if your light fixture has a ground wire, connect it to the ground coming from the house. Also if your box where you are making connections is metal, it also needs to be grounded. Meaning you will have 3 grounds connected together. If the box is plastic, you dont need the extra ground.

Can I use this set up and replace an intermatic timer? The timer is used to power 3 lights on my house, but all are coming off one line. Thank you.

Hello. I'm trying to decide if my photocell is the problem with my address light not working. First I have a transformer installed in garage for the address light and photocell. What I was told in the past was that transformer was for the doorbell and lights, but upon opening the box for doorbell in the house there is also a transformer in it. So first is the garage transformer in fact for the doorbell, and the other transformer inside the doorbell box both for the door bell or is the transformer in the garage only for the photocell and address light? This info will help me to decide if the photocell or the transformer is the problem (hopefully) Sorry for the confusing message... and Thank you for your response..

The transformer is for your address lights if the lights are not 120V.

Wait, so the white wire from the fixture doesn't go anywhere? 'Cause that' where I was confused.. I thought I was missing another connection somewhere...
@monteladow1593 жыл бұрын
Listen to the video... he says the white wire from the electric eye, the white wire from the house wire are connected together.
