Not taking away from this man’s abilities, but I used to make axes for actually chopping trees and wood. Paracord doesn’t last. It tears easily with the forces involved. If you really want to save your tool neck, they make hard rubber necks you can dead blow hammer on to the shaft, paracord looks nice, but it’s mainly ornamental. I learned how to do it from a Canadian world famous logger.
