Hello, I have a question. I was a FLEX exchange student back in 2016. I have gotten my BA in IR under the EU scholarship in Poland, where I currently live and work. I want to apply for this program and I was wondering, what are my chances? Do I need to go back to my country and apply from there and go through the process from Georgia? Thank you.

Sorry for the delayed reply, Daviti! Some Fulbright programs allow applicants to submit from abroad, but generally speaking, yes you would likely need to return to Georgia to undertake an interview. Your U.S. J1 visa would also need to be issued via your country of citizenship. It's hard to say what your chance of success would be (depends on how strong your application is!), but your chance of failure is 100% if you don't try :) As a first step, I'd recommend reaching out to the U.S. Embassy in Georgia to ask them what kind of applicant they're seeking this round: ge.usembassy.gov/education-culture/exchange-programs/fulbright-graduate-student-program-announcement/

If you're applying in a discipline that requires evidence of writing ability (eg. Creative Writing), or if you think that a writing sample is necessary as a proof-point for your study/research objectives, please upload a sample essay, article, or piece of writing that you have authored. It can be on any topic, however topics that are related to your project would be advisable. If a writing sample is unnecessary/unrelated to your project, you are free to leave this section blank.
