He was my boss at Awareness Technologies, where he earned a few million. Really good guy. Sadly, I was too young, immature and did not have the foresite to understand I was at a great company with some very smart, motivated people.

You mean, Tom was your boss back then?. By your own words I'm implying he was already a millionnaire!!!!. How?. Some special ability to foresee investment opportunities?. He says he was hired as a copywriter. Did he climb the career ladder in the company?.

@@victormanuelpolanco922 to my knowledge he earned equity in the company through working his damn ass off (sweat equity as he calls it). There are a bunch of interviews where he talks about that, including the full episode of this particular podcast. I H I G H L Y highly highly recommend it; it's very rare to see an interviewer as skilled at it as Tom, and Rich Roll is definitely one of them. He asks Tom questions I've never seen him asked by other interviewers before.

Love that you gave a genuine comment here. It’s not easy to admit things we struggle with and especially to leave ourselves open to potential assault from others. I think it’s worth saying that was a brave thing to do. Don’t think low of yourself if anyone says otherwise. You learned and you’re still learning, otherwise you wouldn’t be watching content like this in the first place. Keep bettering yourself man. Hang in there.

Don't waste your potential, because potential not acted upon turns into pain and depression. Whenever I make consistent progress with my KZbin channel I feel most fulfilled. Even though I recently started and I don't get many views I stay at it. Tom Bilyeu says success is being able to accept yourself when you're by yourself. Taking consistent action will get you there. It's worth it.

I heard that he said his biggest regret,on his deathbed, would be would choosing not to have children . Rather he put that energy into his business. Personally,I’ve noticed Tom isn’t looking like he did . He looks really tired, exhausted, and stressed . Personally,I’ve actually felt like that before, but I promised myself, that if there’s anything that I know that I’d personally regret, then I’d talk to my wife about having children. $ cannot bring you that kind of love ,peace,it’s not even something, one can conceive of,unless / or until they’ve held their child. It’s nothing remotely like being a big brother, which he had been. It’s heartbreaking because when I hear ,anyone say that they’d regret it on their deathbed, my professional opinion,is that unless he’s living his authentic self , then he’s not really being honest with himself. It’s when we have secret desires , it’s like holding your breath underwater. Eventually you do have to come up fora brand new breath of air , reevaluate, and prioritize. I’m not sure of his wife’s age ,but to never know that love is heartbreaking to me,especially when he knows that’s he’s going to die ,regretting never having to experience that unconditional love . $$$ isn’t the end all, and be all . Life is short. Aging gracefully shows in people who choose to be happy. ❤️

There is a story about a woman who so desperately wanted a specific home to live in. The home was owned by another person at the time. She was also married. Well she kept wanting that specific home and in no time at all the owner became ill and died. Shortly after that her husband became Gravely ill and also died just before moving into the home. she got her home but it did cost her somewhat. Moral of the story always be content with what you have and be careful what you ask for. Everything has a balance.

At times it’s seems like I’ve only grappled with adversity my entire life to hang onto a little bit of something good in myself and in life. Still working at it and through will power, I know that I can have a story like yours. You’re channel has been one of many pieces of positive content I fill my brain with daily to keep a grip and sometimes it’s brought me back from the edge of ending everything but I’m trying to build something so my daughter doesn’t have to live through the horrors of my childhood. She’s lived a much better life than I had but I’ve still got work to do to give her what she deserves and she deserves to have a dad that will do whatever it takes. Thank you Tom. Thank you.

I worked my ass off , and unfortunately I got really sick. No cure . 82 hours a wk.I had deep regrets, and I learned that I was living in a form of denial, because I wasn’t being real. If I have something I’m going to regret,I’m not being me ,not the real me . That’s what ages you.

TOP TAKEAWAYS: To get good at something that is hard. That people value. Skills have utility. You learn how to build a house so people can live in it. Its so much more than just architecture school - impressing your parents with school. You build skills because you want to create something - do something other people cant do.

I’m going through something similar. If a poor person is unhappy, it’s only because they are spending their life working somewhere they don’t want to, so someone they don’t like, and doing absolutely nothing else to further their own individual happiness. Instead, they cope, by drinking, partying and watching TV to numb the pain of day to day work life. That easily affords you things, but it’s not gonna make you happy. Making 6 to 7 figures from a job is the same exact thing. His wife felt that way because she wasn’t the one at work everyday enjoying the work, whereas he would rather do nothing else but the thing that actually made him fabulously wealthy. Very inspirational. Pursue happiness first, and money will follow if it’s meant to be.

I think Joe Rogan had a far better explanation for the moment that he became wealthy. He described it as a relief "I've never having to worry about that anymore." And I understood exactly what he meant. It was a true intuitive moment from Joe "I got cash" Rogan.. and I like that because I think it's what we all really want money. A lot of people talk about money in a negative sense Joe hit on the head in the sense bad it was relief from concern

I’m not trying to be rude , but he’s aging really fast. He looks exhausted. Tom ,please get some rest . One piece of advice,it’s going to sound strange. If you know anywhere, deep deep down inside of you, that your going to have any kind of regrets at the end of your life, and your not doing that now ,it’ shows on our face ,in stress ,regrets , it’s like our mind ,secrets, aren’t in proper alignment with the universe. It’s those regrets that subconsciously eat away with within us ,without even knowing it . You can’t explain it ,until you have it . Once you’re living with not one single regret, your going to start de stressing molecularly.

Darren Walshe I agree completely, he’s really stressed . If someone had of told me,that I’d get sick because I worked 82+ hours a week, I wouldn’t have believed it . I was healthy. However,I wasn’t being real. I was to busy pleasing others ,in some way, and I worried constantly. I can’t believe the difference in his face ,in one yr . Stress and trying to control everything, isn’t going to be pro- Active . The opposite . I believe that’s why we have so many autoimmune disorders. I see people with 6 kids that look younger, because their laughing, their being themselves, and children keep you, both real, and grounded . ❤️🇨🇦.

REALLY? "Just" 1.47 M subscribers with billions of views per week on youtube videos? I wish not 1.47 but at least 14.7 M would not view but carefully watch your videos. A great musician, for example, with an amazing naturally already developed talent as well as having an absolute ear pitch can give you a Master Class and also help you to get polished. But 99% of the time they are not amazingly great teachers. On the other hand, people that also worked as hard as them but "had no natural talent" but anyway they got barely good or good, 99% of the time they are great teachers; just for the vast quantity of failures they have defeated to get there, and because they searched, tried and know every trick in the book to improve. Is like asking the best way to get big arms to someone that before starting lifting weights at 17 yo he already had natural 18 1/2 inch guns! Why I say all this? Simple, because you were not born like the "winner" (winner for what or for whom?) of the teenage tv show....you know, the archetypal "megawise-handsome-athletic-popular" high-school guy, and you work hard searching for fulfillment and happiness in wealth. And when you got it, you fortunately got to know that yourself were not searching for wealth but for [self]richness; something no money can buy. That's why your vids regarding this kind of topics are SO important, because regarding it you already closed that circle and realized that money, aside buying whatever you need/want and having no debt, is just a way to facilitate and accelerate things by freeing time as well as having a team to help you to grow together and towards a goal of great value for self joy and fulfillment as well as being useful for others. And by telling your story, you are helping people to understand that money has to be a byproduct of being great at your stuff while being useful for others.....télesi!!! Kudos to you man
