This is great. I loved Vanquish. I went on a spree back then on GameFly doing achievement hunting with a new game every week. This one was a standout from that blitz through about 20 games that summer. I do want to say though, I would have never known this was a video Vanquish and would've passed up on it if I hadn't heard about this on the BXR podcast.

I really like the approach you chose for this video but I'd suggest working on the thumbnail and music a bit😅 but I enjoyed the video and I'll check out the game too and also can't wait to see you grow from here😁

How does the music sound on your end? I tried to keep it quiet in comparison to the narration, as I've had some comments about audio balance before. On my end, I can barely hear it, which I assumed was the direction people wanted me to go in haha

I loved vanquish back in the day! if you like unique third person scifi action movement shooters, you ought to try Warframe.

Gears of war doesn't compare to this at all, gears is slow and tactical, hide behind cover etc. Vanquish plays nothing like that at the higher levels!

Your title says that Vanquish changed 3rd person shooters forever. lmao GOW came out 4 years before and literally created a new genre of 3rd person shooter with a cover system and executions. Any game that came out afterwards is benefitting from this base. for example, The Division

I'm sure Gears had some major infleunces on games too, it's just that this videos focus was Vanquish, which for sure had more infleunce on shooters of this day and age, as we're truly in the age of advanced movement shooters right now, every game has a dash ability, sliding, double jumping, grapple hooks, wall running etc.
