I've been following Melissa for a few years and she's still such an inspiration. I completely transformed my body with her program. The meal plan is now second nature, and I'm amazed at how strong I am. People at Costco look at me sideways when I'm hauling huge bags of potting soil around 😄💪

I'm so inspired by you! I'm 49 in 6 months, still carrying some Pandemic podge and have 60 pounds to lose to get back to my ideal weight for a person of 5ft . Thanks for showing me that I can overcome perimenopausal weight.

I am 54 recovering for cancer, I also have plenty to lose. I started at 180lb in mid March and am already down by 13lb. It’s mostly diet but now I am adding more cardio and weight training (which I have always loved). I was a US size 4-6 UK size 8-10 before I got sick. The best exercise is lots of brisk walking and weight training 3x a week, you don’t have to do anything fancy and you will gradually get into the best shape ever. Weight training completely transformed my body back to lean and strong after my 3 pregnancies. I use My Fitness Pal to track my food. I am grandfathered in but if they want to charge you money there are plenty of other trackers. Tracking your food (food diary) has been shown to be the most effect way to lose weight as you learn how to eat in healthy ways for your calories intake. I am determined to get back where I was, it’s ALL a mind game. You just have to want it really badly.

This was a great video Melissa. Thank you! Also, I wanted to tell you you can make Protein ice cream by putting cottage cheese in a blender with your choice of sweetener and whatever other goodies you want(like peanut butter powder and vanilla extract) Blend until smooth and then freeze and it tastes just like ice cream, but has all that protein and not as many calories. If you try it let me know if you liked it. Have a great day and thanks again beautiful!

I have to push back on the partner thing. I’ve always been self motivated and have always worked out alone. I lost my partner in 2019. So there is just me. Even before that she was not into working out the way I was. So, some of us don’t have someone to help with that. Just FYI. 😊 at the end of the day, I am responsible for myself, although I always encouraged her to come with me. I wasn’t going to force it either.

Awesome!! I'm retired but my hubby is still working. In the future I think this would work for us. I'm 58 and I walk 3 miles 5 times/week. I took a break from weight training bc I was just too sore to move for 3-4 days. I increased my steps recently. I get in 8,000-9,000+ steps per day now. I just started seeing some results 🎉. My eating habits are 80-85% healthy. I know I need to do better. So I'm working on it 😊. Thanks for the inspiration. You are such a light to those of us who are more seasoned and have lost hope!!

You are my all time favorite fitness cute couple...not only are you great together, you are REAL, down to earth and true to yourselves...love this about you guys. You inspired me months ago Melissa, when I was working out and getting nowhere in my physical form and losing weight. Understanding my post menopause state, with your advice on HIUTT and nutrition guides has hugely supported and propelled me toward making the changes I needed . Now I have a goal. Im 54 yrs and my goal is to become the best physical shape that I can achieve, through HITT and weight training along with weighing my meals to support this I am on the road and seeing changes 4 weeks in...I was fit before but could never quite shift that extra or get that lean/bulk I wanted, it was so frustrating...I also measured and weighed so I can monitor my progress...yay 👌Thank you so much for your inspiration.

I have literally tried EVERYTHING to lose weight from Paleo, Keto, Noom, starvation and nothing worked. When I turned 48 my metabolism literally shut off and I went from 127 pounds to 160 pounds at age 58. I am sick of being FAT. Several weeks ago I started eating higher amounts of protein and I have cut out all white sugar since February. This past week I started lifting heavier weights. How long will it take before I begin to see some improvement? I am not expecting to be 127 again, but any positive change will be appreciated.

I’m not close to being over 50 but my mom is 52 and I wish she would workout because she never does. She isn’t overweight, she’s quite small and slim but I wish she would do it for her health. It’s sad when you have parents who didn’t have much of an education because they don’t have much knowledge in things like exercise. She says “I don’t workout because then I get really hungry” to me that sounds ridiculous because I know it isn’t a valid reason but my mom doesn’t know how essential it is that she exercises. When we go on walks I tell her it would be beneficial for her to walk fast but she doesn’t care. I’m just trying to get her to stop drinking soda everyday which is actually a new habit which she picked up a while ago. I just hope she gets no more health problems besides her hyperthyroidism, I don’t want her to get something which can be prevented. You guys are awesome!

@@rhodealexandre6583 weighing food- I thought the same. But the plate is right on the scale when I'm fixing it, so it's actually no extra time. It's going to be on a flat surface somewhere, so it can be the scale, right? It's become quite easy.
