This is literally insane on the planning level but also makes my brains so incredibly happy. Planning and labeling and having it all done down to the very tiniest detail Is amazing

Love this video! Thank you. My husband showed me how to unzip zip ties with regular flat tip screwdriver, so they can be reused rather than cut and thrown away. Just do not pull as tightly when closing. And insert to pull apart without the teeth and grooves touching

I got 3 packages of seeds from you. One daliah package. I drect seeded them as I didn't get them started early. I cant imagine the work/ process you guys do..i do my garden myself an it can be overwhelming. You have been an inspiration for me to start a small flower cutting bed..i got some green millet an harry balls too should be some great filler. Blessings on a bountiful season.

Bought your book for last years dalia season. Helped me quite a lot. I still have to wait a few days with planting though. Late frost can be a real showstopper here in germany. Keep up the great work that you are doing with your flowers!

What type of medium is in the tubs that the tubers are in? Is this what they're stored in during the off-season? Thanks..

Thank you so much! Can you tell me how far apart you plant dahlias that you start from seed?
@musiclover22566 ай бұрын
If you ordered seeds from floret this year, the booklet that came with the packets should explain how far to plant seedlings apart.

I would imagine it's because they're aiming to grow as many seeds as possible for their breeding program

Do you soak your roots in water beforehand?
@dianequist8356 ай бұрын
No, as too much water makes a dahlia tuber soften and rot.

What is the medium you store the dahlia tubers in the sterilite storage boxes? I left my tubes in a paper bag over winter and they all ended up as shriveled up tubers 😢

Dahlia tubers can rot if you water them before they have developed roots.
@bailybeckstrand6647 ай бұрын
Is it ok to plant tubers that early?
@adriaanvanhoeve87037 ай бұрын
It would depend on your climate. If you plant them deep enough they can avoid late frost in most areas
