Hello Tim! I have a similar story! I was working in a bilingual school in Poland (I'm Canadian), and I left it to do VIPKid full time. I just finished your Going Solo course this last November and it was everything I needed to get out of my comfort zone and finally go independent! Thank you for everything you do and thank you for sharing your story!

Your video is perfect timing to spot to play. Yes, never keep editing to produce perfection... funny as teachers, so many of us are perfectionists, aren't we?! I'm about to launch into a new path of teaching with travel. With 4 days to confirm if I'm going to pursue the offer, hearing your story and the encouragement is brilliant! It overrides those little self-doubt niggles sneaking in! Many thanks 😊

This is a great video; so inspiring! I am just drinking in all of these videos from you and a few others and trying to determine if my next online student should be the first of my own business. Thanks for the giving perspective and experience and proposing what can be possible for all of us! The cat is adorable!

@@onlineteacherdude1284 I'm having a busy year. I'm teaching English 30 hours a week and am teaching Spanish to Ukranian refugees one morning a week. I'm also taking a course at the university on Digital tools for the classroom. Very interesting and enlightening but demanding. All of these tools are interesting for teaching remotely as well as face-to-face. I continue to want to set myself up online as an English and Spanish teacher.

As you know, I went back to the classroom and it’s SO hard. I’m making MORE money than I was teaching online. So definitely I need to do more of what you’re doing. I thought about trying to make money through social media. I’ve been watching more channels lately about building a brand.
@onlineteacherdude1284 Жыл бұрын
Hey Kelly :) Yeah, the OT on its own isn't going to pay much more than a regular BM job but its the scalability of other things that can.. (ie : courses, building a brand, etc...). Hope you're hanging in there with those kiddos.

Hey! Welcome back. Can you post a new video on what online ESL companies are not around?
@onlineteacherdude1284 Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't even really know - too difficult to research and keep up with. And, quite frankly, I could care less anymore. I work with teachers to build their own teaching business and make more money. I refer to a few companies but they don't pay well.
@meljanfran6810 Жыл бұрын
Why do you care about what's not around lol? All companies in Mainland China are no longer hiring foreign teachers. End of story.

Perfection as per usual🤗 Will be applying to some the companies you recommend so unlike you am only staring my journey but I wish you every bit of success on your new journey but then you seem to have the Midas touch so I am quite positive you will be great😍 Thank you for everything that you do for the teaching community whether they be experienced teachers or newbies like me😘

I am a full time classroom teacher but I'd like to explore setting up an online teaching busness as I need to diversify. I cant go fully online as the job in an international school means places for my children but I'd be looking to do a couple of hours each day. I'm based in Central America so my main target group would be people in the Americas. Any suggestions on getting started?

hi Tim, I wonder if you can help. I am literally looking for an online teaching job, but I have no experience! I am very patient and very good at speaking English. I would like to be the kind of person that somebody can just have a conversation with. Do you think Tutor tee is any good? Their name popped up with indeed I would be very grateful if you could give me some pointers as how to get started. By the way, I have no qualifications in this industry.
