When this song came out, I was in my sophomore year in highschool, and was in my last days of being in an ICU ward. I was in a horrific car accident, was cut out of the car I was in. Both lungs punctured, crushed chest, a car part imbedded in my skull, fractured vertebraes in my spine, and crushed internal organs. A nurse in the ICU brought a little Walkman cassette tape player with a Howard Jones tape inside it, played the songs as I laid in a medically induced coma. This song was the song I remembered that got me through that dark moment in my life. Howard, your music helped me heal. Much love man.

Thank your for sharing James. No doubt that God Himself was with you through it. He has sent Jesus that if you repent and believe in Him you shall be saved. You see, He is the One who gave us life and although we have all sinned against Him, He still sent us His Son Jesus. Jesus took your sin upon Himself and laid His life down for you. If you repent and believe in Him then you shall be saved.

Gentleness and strength, wisdom and youth, creativity and sincerity, with always that something eternal, life-giving in him and his music. This performance of a lovely song is gorgeous.
