I didn't know Dave played guitar. This is some of the best I've heard him. It's so raw and unprocessed . Awesome job by the other musicians. Great!

Watch the US Festival gig on KZbin. It's the only thing he knows. Same with Robert Plant. Played guitar solos on his 1988 tour. They only learn one thing so they can call themselves "musicians" outside of singing and playing harmonica.

I believe his problem on stage was to 'fight' with the loud sounds from other instruments and other noises on the stage, hence he could not push his voice in the best way he could have done. This unplugged setting, you can enjoy his voice very much, he did those songs really well and comfortably in a low-noise setting.

I saw VH on Fair Warning tour in Oakland CA. Diver Down in San Francisco and at the US Festival. Van Halen in their prime, they ruled the world. I also saw DLlR with Vai, Sheehan and Bissonette was pretty damn good too. Sadly things happen the way they do. RIP Eddie
