If you have any experience at all as a mechanic you don't need to torque that kind of stuff. If you need think you need to torque that kind of stuff you probably don't have the experience to do the job in the first place.
@Obababoy8 жыл бұрын
Gurn Blanstein Installing any suspension or brake modification should always have proper torque specs. Granted, if you torque a suspension piece that needs 100ftlbs to 20ftlbs, it's probably gonna come loose and/or rattle. If you do it by hand and get it in the range of 80-120ftlbs, it's probably gonna be fine. If it is too tight it sheers, if it is too loose it rattles off on a washboard dirt road in the middle of nowhere...Please tell me you are not a real mechanic somewhere.
@gurnblanstein98168 жыл бұрын
Obababoy ... I've been a mechanic for over 35 years and own my own repair shop for 27. the only things I torque are cylinder heads, main and connecting rod bearings. my hands are built in torque wrenches.
@Obababoy8 жыл бұрын
Gurn Blanstein You are just too salty for me. I'm a nerd with a solid mechanical background and a modified Subaru. I have many parts on that Subaru that I would be crazy not to torque down. To sum it all up, it simply cannot hurt to throw in torque specs on future videos. at least ball park ones.

I just installed this lift kit today. And the right right is making a popping sound when you turn hard to the left. And after adding the brake brackets in the rear and the truck suspension is at full droop the sensor line, and the brake lines still becoming too tight.

Autocustoms: my friend is having driveshaft issues(vibration and transmission oil leak), he needed to install a 1" spacer in between the pinion flange and a 1.5" spacer under the center support bearing. His driveshaft wasn't in enough and it was leaking transmission oil. Is your lift blocks setting the axle forward to compensate the driveshaft length? Is this a common problem? His is a 2015 Tacoma,
