This is some amazing advice. I've figured most of this out on my own but it's taken me years. To get it all in under 10mins is a true gift. On behalf of all the folks that haven't already spent years figuring this out, thank you so much!

Totally agree, and same here on taking years to figure out a lot of this. I HIGHLY recommend this channel to beginner and semi-advanced players. There are so many things to pick up on. My man speaks the truth!

So, I took off my clothes, strapped on my guitar, and promptly forgot the rest of the instructions...anyone else feel a draft in here?

Hi Mike , any advice on when picking fast and the pick bounce’s back and doesn’t clear the string ?
@foxxen7287 Жыл бұрын
Are you holding the pick completely level with the strings? This increases the resistance between the pick and string, so you want to hold the pick at a slight angle (like 30-45 degrees or so) so that it kinda 'slides over' the string rather than trying to force a completely flat surface straight through.

Every now and then you'll have to test yourself by moving up to a faster tempo, but if you really struggle to maintain a clean pick control then it's generally a sign you need more practice at a slower tempo. Try to slow down the tempo until you regain picking control and then move the tempo up 1bpm at a time
