Love the video. Using arms, compression to extension and where you look is where you go are all things that I will try to remember when surfing next. Could you please show more smoothstar training drills which incorporate bottom turns to top turns, cutbacks to re-entries. Cheers Thanks, Steve

Nice work ! One tip for everyone, try to focus one thing at a time when you go out there, might be overwhelming to try to integrate all those elements into your surfing, baby steps work best. Having a specific goal in mind when you go out is how you progress

Surfskate training (any tricks like cutback and so) -it'll be more clear to see what to do so i can progress in the water. Also land training that i can do to improve my surfing (except exercises and surfskate) so again i can understand better what and how to do the manovuers (off the lip, cutback , snaps and more)

I never never never never get tired of you guys has videos and thank you so much forever... I'm thoroughly enjoying the 80s background music... You look really cool with your shades on man and you should wear more often even though it's nice to be able to see you about your shades on oh, the coolest fact there's definitely Epic. Nice taste when it comes to shades! Thank you for all the time you put into explaining and showing the visuals that go with the explanation and even taking the time to create a channel like this because you and your bro are the only dudes doing it at the level of attention to detail and from the love of your heart for surfing to truly help people in the share your wisdom and thank you so much for that... If you haven't subscribe to this Channel and you're learning and watching all this valuable and free content, please stop and subscribe it support the channel because they support us and they are helping us to become better Surfers... Let's get this channel to over a hundred thousand subscribers sooner rather than later!!! I'm not paid or endorsed to say these things but truly appreciate these guys for what they're doing and giving a respectable shout out... Happy surfing from Virginia Beach! :-)

At 5:43 and the slow mo version at 6:02, could you talk about these late tale offs where the wave is crashing on your back? When I go for these, i nose dive or get thrown over. Is this just a mushy enough wave?
@HowtoRip
@HowtoRip 4 жыл бұрын
It was fairly mushy, but no doubt later take offs can be trickier. Timing and speed getting to your feet might help!

I think guys are watching too many videos on what size board you should be riding and what they see pros riding. It's ridiculous. By forcing yourself to ride a board way too small, it's going to F up your style. Stick bug and butt wiggling. Also there are guys with narrow stances and wide stances. A wide stance surfer on on short board 2" smaller than that sharpers suggest, it looks horrible.
