Totally agree with you about barrel type charging. It's my preference too. The best machines are the ones that allow both, meaning you get portability when you need it, and all usb ports and more power when that's the priority too.

Thanks Andy! My company just bought these zbooks for us and today is my first day on it. I appreciate the comment about the tight ports because I found this out right away. I also didn't realize there is a camera privacy screen or the finger security reader. I appreciate your video!

Hello mr. Silvers, my Zbook Power G7 is arrived. It looks solid and robust. I think I have purchased the right computer. I have two questions for you. I hope that you can answer them. I ordered the computer with the 400 nits display. Is there a way to verify it? I mean within Windows 10. And is there a way to see the inches of the display? I moved from a MacBook Pro and on the Mac this information is written in a window from an Apple menu entry.

Anurag vR, Thank you for your question. First, the Firefly G7 appears to be discontinued. As for the G8, that looks like your best choice. These devices are similar in many ways. The advantages of the HP are faster CPU and more customizable. They both will do you well. Keep this in mind. For coding, more CPU cores and RAM are important. The HP a faster CPU (for a price). They both have the same core count. Also, note the Dell is cheaper, but this is largely because of the inferior CPU and low-brightness display. My strong recommendation no matter what you buy is to check that the display is at least 350 nits. To save money, get the Dell. To get the best performance, pick the HP. Note: if you get the HP, spend the $2.00 on a 65 watt charger. It's worth it. Hope this helps.

Gurmit, thank you for your comment. The ZBook Power is not available in a 17 inch size. If your referring to the ZBook fury 17, yes it’s a big laptop. It’s roughly an inch thick and has a big screen. However HP did fix the bezels a lot. It’s not a device that u can carry around super easily but it is more portable than a desktop. Hope this helps!

Problems that they say they solved by updating the bios or by disabling a security function in the Settings app.

Emanuele, It's interesting you mention this. I address this on my channel in my full Review. Please check it out for specific info. To put it simply, yes, you'll likely want to disable the Windows Smart Screen feature if it causes your fans to spin up. Details on how to do that are in my video. I'm excited to hear that you want to buy a ZBook. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Hello, You can figure out the brightness of your display using a tool from Amazon or the like. Plus there are some apps that claim they can check the peak brightness using software. Lastly, you can look up the model number of the display your laptop uses, then find a datasheet that tells you the exact number. HP probably rounded up from like 370 or 380 nits for the ZBook. As for screen size, you could measure it with a ruler. But the HP ZBook Power has a 15.6 inch display which refers to the diagonal size. The ZBook lineup has 16:9 aspect ratio displays. Hope this helps.

Yes. Just be sure to get the 6 or 8 core CPU for smooth 4K video editing. For 1080p, i5 is just fine.

I do not know English. I am writing through a translator. I want to buy HP ZBook Fury 17 G7. It has nVidia Quadro T1000 installed. I doubt it because of this video card. I would like to work and play games. How good is the graphics card? I work in Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, I work with video, audio. Sometimes with 3D, sometimes I play games.

Thank you for your comment. The Quadro T1000 is similar to a GTX 1050, so it's not the best. As I said, I would recommend at least the Quadro RTX 3000 for the work you do. If you edit 1080p video, the T1000 or T2000 is great. If you edit 4K video, I would go with the Quadro RTX 3000 or RTX 4000. Hope this helps. The CPU is most important though for Video editing. If you can get 8 Cores, then do that. : )

Hello. I can't speak to the random prices of the G7 on Amazon or eBay, but I can say that for now it is still available on HP.com. It starts at $1230 US but it can't be customized anymore. I would not buy that config because it lacks major things (400 nit screen for starters). The G8 is available now starting at $1700, and it looks quite good. Hope this helps.

@@kamranparvaiz4452 Yeah the ZBooks sit above the EliteBooks as HP's Top lineup. I bought my ZBook on Black Friday when it started at 55% off ($789). Maybe wait for a holiday. Hopefully you can afford it one day as the ZBook line is amazing.

No, not generally. The Quadro P620 I have will play games at low settings and medium detail. It's not really designed for gaming. I would recommend the HP Omen for gaming, or the ZBook Create for its superior GeForce Graphics. Hope this helps!
