Actually, dream bubbles aren't inherent to every session. Feferi was the one who set them up in these particular sessions, they aren't necessarily a basic component of all of them.

That is true, but it’s also kind of extraneous detail. Every session we see in the story of Homestuck is linked to them, and anyone who wants to write a fan-session is free to use the concept. A lot of making these videos snappy and interesting-which is a priority for me-is trimming out the fat. Which isn’t to say I won’t clarify this or anything. Just that it’s a detail best suited for a later video, like one where I talk exclusively about the Horrorterrors, or better yet, the one on Feferi. I’m playing the long game here, basically.

I'm quite the sure the bubbles themselves are, but not everyone has some as stable as the ones fef set

Nicolas Sagrillo basically a afterlife where the visual world is shaped by the memories of those who enter said bubble and is created by horrorterrors blowing bubbles but I could be missing some facts and could've gotten things wrong

Feferi only said that she convinced the horrorterrors to stabilize the bubbles in the kids and trolls sessions. This hints at dream bubbles existing, but only being as stable as the bubble Jade visited originally in different sessions

Fef likes to think she set them up, as if they weren't already planning on doing so anyways.

I once came across a theory about the Eldritch Gods... It's extremely dark. The theory is that the Eldritch gods are players from dead timelines and sessions. These players were either lone survivors or mass murderers of their teammates. Because there is no-one to speak to, their sanity dwindled until there was nothing left but a pale imitation. Eventually the Eldritch Gods would add them to their collective and attempt to repeat this in each new session. Don't ask me for the original source, I have no idea where it is. I actually came across it on G+ so maybe you can find it.

I've heard this one around, I think! I've also heard that all the horrorterrors are specifically alt-Gamzees. Both are fun theories, though I'm not too sure eldritch monsters need an origin story. Kinda runs counter to their Lovecraftian roots. Thinking about it, it might be fun to do a video on various theories the fandom came up with over the years someday. Thanks for pitching in :D

From a person who is working on a fanventure; and is struggling in the dubious process of writing characters, wrapping my head around Sburb and it's many mechanics, etc. Your videos have been very useful and informative, keep doing your fantastic analysis'. :33

this is brain massage. legit. i LOVE it when story elements have wonderful yangs for their yins, like the dreamer moons and skaia and the furthest ring. also, has anyone noticed, that the first part of "incipisphere" comes from latin "incipere", which means to _begin?_ perhaps they were meant to venture out into the furthest ring in the late game or something.
@stellatedhexahedron6985

95% certain that the Derse moon does not actually pass into the furthest ring during its orbit. It merely gets pretty darn close.

"TT: We are like the emissaries to what lies beyond this small bubble in their unfathomable dark foam. TT: Derse skirts its edge, and during the lunar eclipse, we graze it, and that's when their intent for us becomes clear." --mspaintadventures.com/?search=6_2 That would be the closest thing I'd cite as a source, I think. So you're right, but if it's close enough that Roxy can float right off from Derse into the void proper, I'm not sure how much the distinction matters. If I'd say there's a way to quantify it, I'd suggest that Derse's moon "grazes" the void to the same extent that Prospit's towers "graze" Skaia. The game loves it symmetry a whole lot and all.

I’ve been waiting for new Tex Talks videos for a while, and even though this series doesn’t cover Homestuck from a programming perspective like he does, it feels like a spiritual Dancestor to that series. Please, keep up the excellent work!

You're not far off! I'd been doing some Homestuck writing before I came across his work, but Tex convinced me to bring my perspective to KZbin. And I will definitely do :)

it's so fun to listen to this series in rapid succession and hear your passion/confidence build. your theories and explanations are so great, incredibly thought provoking, and just the right amount of funny. ive attempted to read homestuck at least 3 times, and there are things that i don't relate/only understand on the surface. watching these videos helps me SO much with contextualizing and conceptualizing the things that happen in the story. sincerely, thank you for all the love and effort you put into this!
