Hi ! What kind of result do you get between a legit Xbox One and an average gaming PC ? (How much FPS mainly) Thanks.
@wazbat1
@wazbat1 6 жыл бұрын
Benoît - Diablox9 Xbox one is usually locked to 30fps, some games like racing games run at 60fps. On a 1050ti on console style settings you can get pretty much anything. It's a balance of what settings you want to play at and what FPS you're ok with. Some will want stuff to run at the highest possible settings or even full real 4k which looks leagues ahead of an Xbox but would run at 30-40 FPS, or run it at still high settings and get 60+ FPS though more than 60 doesn't really matter too much unless you have screen that can display it. Most TVs are 60hz but some gaming monitors are 144hz which looks super smooth

IO shield doesn't fit in there because it is too narrow for an IO shield. That's why it is custom to his board. I have made a few of these with different motherboards and cpu's and that was one of the first things I tried.

A bit late, but probably he did it manually using a caliper and the original backplate as a guide
@MirelRC
@MirelRC 6 жыл бұрын
He used the original backplate and after that he measured xbox one s backplate, but before back plate he put the motherboard with the black suport in xbox one s case (with original backplate, without closing the xbox one s case) to get i/o ports distance between left side and right side, oh and he put the gpu in and power port, after that he made a sketch using the measures to get the new backplate. Something like this. Not too hard to think.

First and foremost nice build! The top cover with all the vent holes, was it printed? Also, it appeared the led light bar was connected to a nano? What is the part number to that light bar. Do you have a list of where you purchased all the other items?
@DoomWalker42
@DoomWalker42 6 жыл бұрын
That is incredible! You should give the Xbox case a custom paint job maybe to suit a video game or movie franchise. Really cool idea. Where did you get the design for the tray that the motherboard is standing on and is it made from 3D printing or is it some kind of metal? Also what power supply did you use? I have a 200 watt pico psu but not sure what laptop charger to use as they are very expensive. What components did you use for the build and how long did it take you to make all the parts for the case?

FECK! I really wanted to do this too! Really nice job though man! Good idea with the low profile gpu. I was experimenting with mounting it using a 2U server Riser which would have the fans pointing down. I've gotta get it done at some point but I guess I'll use an xbox one case and try and do an internal PSU setup, though I genuinely can't find any broken xbox one's to get a case for at a reasonable price
@AlanGonzalez-om4rr
@AlanGonzalez-om4rr 6 жыл бұрын
Using an 2U riser and a 3D-Printed kind-of funnel like the one Linus did for his server would be a nice idea due to the ventilation holes at the side, it will keep the gpu really cool.

Very cool, but I was a little curious, would it be possible to build pc master race in chassis of the Xbox One fat, something like an i9-9900K and an RTX 2080ti? I ask why there is a PC chassis called Zaber Sentry, and it is slightly larger than Xbox One fat, but it still has the same volume as the Xbox One fat (7 liters), and it is possible to build a configuration equal to that I quoted, but I still have not checked to see some chassis, even indie with the same format of Xbox One fat.
