In my country, at school, music lessons are limited to playing white plastic flute. But in Japan, music lessons at school are serious: guitar, bass, drum, violin, and a whole bunch of instruments. And after school they gather at Karaoke to take turns singing. And then we're surprised that thousands of bands are swarming in the dark concert halls throughout Japan.

I am a 55 year old american guy that used to love late 70's and 80's metal. I figured I grew out of that and all the new metal and rock music sort of blended together and got kind of vanilla and stale. Been YouTubing since the whole covid thing hit, and got into watching female japanese rock and metal bands. I have been listening to Band Maid for month, discovered Nemophila a couple months ago and now this group Hanabie. All three of these bands rock so fucking hard! To get specific to this MV by Hanabie, it was AWESOME!! These girls are so creative musically and visually, blows me away with how original and not like everybody else they are. LOVE IT!! Keep it up ladies! BTW, really enjoy all the individual looks and colors each lady chose to put forward, beautiful and brutal in the same Music Video. Can't wait for the next MV!

I'm a 52 year old american guy and I totally agree! This band and also Nemophila are great. Somehow, I started listening to this album at .75 speed on KZbin just to see how it sounded, and at that speed they make Metallica sound tame. SO damn heavy! If you want to see the most incredible Japanese drummer I've ever seen, check out Senri Kawaguchi. She plays mostly jazz/fusion, but there are a few vids of her playing some heavier stuff, and she adds elements of metal into her playing such as fast double-bass and very intricate fills. Very cool. 😁kzbin.info/www/bejne/q6PTpKJjrJ1qqtU

This singlehandedly is the best metal song ive ever heard period. they have surpassed everybody. Influenced by all while sounding like none other. I will say, i spent 3 hours of my life watching reaction videos just because i Love this song. First off the drummer is PERFECT. Any rocker and everybody that reacted had the same tempo head bang with every changeup, and the drums pushed everything through PERFECTLY. The Bass carries everything along, the freaking guitar riffs were actually insane, and the harmonics with the singing and screamo with the different parts were freaking master composer class. But the bass really was the perfect accompaniment to the lead itself. Like these 4 instruments (Yukari?s freaking voice) is all you need and its so freaking fufilling. while others lack with more instruments or overimpose with less. THIS WHOLE SONG IS PERFECT. It would not be the same with a different bass, bass tone, rhythm, or even player. AND NOW THE GROWLING SCREAMING RAPPING SINGING FREAKING LEAD. So enthusiastic, such a character, great performer. But her tone is on point and the growling and screaming. When it comes to screamo its definitely its own thing. Usually its heavy grungy and just plain metal, or heavy rock, and people will say "its got screaming, I dont like it." But not a single soul could turn away from her. I BET. This is my favourite Metal band in the world past present future, saying it now. BandMaid has laid claim to rock, Hanabie has metal, Linkin Park alternative. There is nothing american that comes close to this, even past. Most metal bands that really started even like Judas Priest, Pantera, Metallica, MegaDeath, all had songs. Not everything was great to be honest. Not everything was truly unique even. But this is absolutely insane.
