Freebuds3 are great as well. The call quality and music quality is great plus they offer noise cancellation.. something that apple didn't offer at that time.

I have the Freebuds 3i and i love them. But there is one issue. They have massive battery drain when not used. For example i charge the case fully. Dont use them for a week or so. Then i want to use them and case and buds are both empty. Is that on the pro model too?

Yea I have the same issue with freebuds 3. They don't have a low power mode in the case, they constantly provide power to the ear buds causing the case to drain quickly. It is a piss poor design. When I leave my airpods in the case for 15 days of no use, the case is at 90% the free uds case is at 20%

Do you still use these? I'm considered about the IP rating when HK summers hit. I've tried all the ANC buds (or at least all the mainstream ones) like the Seinheiser, Sonys, Samsung Buds Pro, Bose QC, Jabra 85t. Every one of them has an issue. I'm not including the airpods pro as I use a Note 20 Ultra. I need something light for those commutes and the noisy Aunties on the MTR. I use bose headsets at my desk at home and work.

I had a lot of trouble using pinch gestures but eventually figured out that it's not touch sensitive but you have to squeeze them until you hear a click. It's like pressing a button 🙂

I must say, I'd still prefer the wireless earphone which has wire connecting the two earphones. I currently have those and the battery life exceeds 8+ hours on a regular work day, vs 4hrs of this true wireless earpods. Plus, when I don't need a use of it, I could just hook em up round my neck and lock it together and prevent it from being lost.

Always like your style. I agree Huawei is powerful enough do something different but I can still see some tiny similarities with the airpods pro and maybe it can be a little better than the buds live but the Buds Live is the Boldest earbuds around and it performs well for it's purpose. Beautiful closing soundtrack.

I like it way more than Freebuds 3. Freebuds 3 didn't fit my ear well. Anc didn't do much. These look better have great anc and transparency mode. As for the diff in audio drivers I'm not hearing huge diff

funny thing...on a whim, i took out my 2016 Huawei wired earphone silicone covers...(were in the box for free with my P9 Lite)... (like a soft glove that fits over the entire top blob of the units)...& they fit my kid's airpods 2 from 2020 perfectly?! so draw your own conclusions who's 'style' is more original. by the way, i'm a big Apple, Huawei & Samsung fan (split between laptops, phones, tablets, TV's, earbuds, smart watches & gadgets)...but these new freebuds pro just look fantastic, thanks for the honest review. i beleive the Nothing buds have slider gesture volume control on the stalk...will have to delve deeper into vids to find out more...who also has that? oh...& always a bit behind new tech here in sunny south africa...which is why i enjoy all the tech reviews. like yours, from abroad. 👊🏻

Audiophiles beware. The bass on these is some of the loosest, wooliest, undefined and displeasing I have ever heard, it also devastates the midrange and treble. It's not even good bass though, even bass heads can do much better. I cannot believe reviewers have not found fault with their fidelity. I returned them next day and sprung for Bowers and Wilkins PI3, they sound very nice. The only variable I didn't account for is burn in, maybe they clear up in time. But the out of the box impression is freebuds are likely the worst things I've put in my ears, and I wouldn't use them even if they were free.
