@@f.rosenmund4260 Different people will always have different experiences. It is also important what you want in terms of functionality, accuracy, aesthetics... Both of these guns are semi auto and shoot from the magazine so their accuracy will never be able to compare with a good single action or repeater gun. But if I would have to compare them side by side, I always got better results with K1 then L2 (and keep in mind that most of accuracy issue with both these guns are from pellet slug instability). Regarding build quality, L2 is definitely machined better, finished slightly better and has some huge advantages regarding practicality, service and flexibility (for example, you might need to disassemble the whole K1 if you have a jam...), but form design point, L2 has less accurate indexing mechanism simply because the magazine is removable, there is no way to adjust the barrel to be exactly coaxial to the magazine and there is some "blow-by" on it which makes the gun a little louder for the shooter (although L2 is probably better suppressed than K1 otherwise). The trigger on L2 is also not really "bench friendly", where you can really adjust K1 to have a nice trigger (at least as far as semi auto guns go). There is also a safety factor. K1: have a well designed safety that you can trust (it locks the sear for the valve), downside is that since the magazine is fixed, you should always unload the magazine to truly keep it safe. L2: here I have a lot of issues: although you can remove the magazine, you can still fire that gun without the magazine. That will result in plastic transfer port flying out out close to the shooter ear! Also, the safety is only preventing the trigger blade to interact with trigger sear, but since this gun (as Huben) is a hammer-less design, the gun is always ready to fire and I actually has a situation where the gun fired on its own... I really think the L2 should have updated safety issues. The reason why this spontaneous firing can happen (at least that is how I explained it) is if the small ball bearing that you push with the trigger when firing can leak and this leak is the same thing as pulling the trigger; it causes a chain reaction same as in the firing process...

That would require a complete redesign of the gun as it is design to close the valve faster at higher pressures. So the max. power pressure (it does slightly depend on the slug weight) is about 190 bars... Also, in another comment you mention that you would like more shots. Increasing power with increasing operating pressure decreases shot count proportional with square of increased power (even more if you are trying to get high velocities), so you soon get to the point where it does not make sense anymore. The max I was able to get form K1 was about 120 joules with 36 grain. But I would never use that setting as it used up too much air and the accuracy was not good anymore. I just got some slugs for .25 so I will for sure have some videos with .25 probably in the beginning of next year.

Uh, that is a tough one. It is har to get any pellet that is light enough to have any respectable velocity at that energy and ever if you find one, it will not be very stable as it will have to small sectional density... If I was limited to 7,5 joules, I would probably only shoot 4,5 mm caliber airguns. Sorry, but I do not have any useful advice. The only thing I can say is: go as low as possible with the regulated pressure where you still get reliable magazine indexing...

Gregor, Altaros does not stock these slugs anymore (do you have any info why not?), we urgent need some good 35gn+ slugs for Hubens with chinese choked barrels. So press hard on MP molds to speed up things with V3 mold!😉

I thought the new barrels on the k1 were cz barrels ? They don't have a barrel choice, when I selected the Huben Wolfiek K1 Lite . They are fabulous guns.

The new barrels are Chinese. Although they do not look as well made as LW, they shoot very well, my 2021 K1 SE (wood stock) with Chinese barrel actually shoots more accurately as the old one with LW.

I understand Huben K1 sold in UK would be restricted in power in order to fall outside FAC. How much less fun would such a great gun be when power restricted? Is there a way to de-restrict in case the gun is taken to a country/juristiction where full potential is allowed by law or if a FAC would be obtain in the case of UK. This is not a first hand information but rather what I was told: there are two things different, one is that the power wheel does not have a part that would enable adjustment, second one is that the hole for reg adjustment is blocked... All fairly easy to bypass, just remove the plug from the reg hole and install the missing part to the power wheel (I believe the part actually comes with the gun but I am not 100% sure)...

Working on it, It is taking some time but should be available soon in .25 as well as .22 cal. They will be slightly light though, around 35 grain in .22 and 46 grain in .25

Hey Gregor, I was testing slugs yesterday and found the only slugs that gave me half a chance were zen .219, All the 218s were rattling in the magazine, today I have made some using the old boat tail from MP molds and they micrometer at 5.55. It seems that the new Chinese prefers a larger slug, Pellets are ok as the skirt micrometers at 5.55 so they fit snug in the mag. It's a shame they didn't make the mag .218 as they do need a snug fit . The loose slugs gave me a few blow backs. The soonest your new mold is available the better. I really need to get hold of that new mold.

Hm, hard to say. There is some sort of mate finish on it that looks excellent in my option but not sure how much protection it offers. I can say that when I load slugs, I always touch the wood next to the magazine and my slugs are lubricated. This means that I always touch the wood with lubricated fingers and there are no visible marks on the wood, so that is a good sign...

Hi. Thanks! When it comes to Huben, bigger is always better (at least in my experiences). So definitely go for .219 if there is an option. K1 usually does not have particularly good accuracy with pure lead projectiles. Most manufacturers that are swagging slugs use pure lead for best expansion (also, I am told that this is more accurate and that my be true for FX but in all my guns, that is not the case). From swaged slugs, I am keen to try the MK2 JSB Knockouts that have larger "skirt"... Here are my findings: best slug weight for K1 .22 is from 32 - 37 grain. If possible, they should be around 10.5 mm long. Cast is better than swagged (this is due to harder alloy of cast and the fact you can have slugs with rings, if there were any swagged slugs that had 35 grain, 5.55 mm diameter, slightly harder alloy and with rings, then we would probably have most accurate slug of them all). Boat tail is OK, but for best accuracy, flat tail is better. In my gun, my cast slugs (I don't know if a mold will ever be released, MP molds is very unresponsive unfortunately...) are still the most accurate slugs for it... Hope this helps.

I have and I will some more but K1 typically does not shoot "standard" slugs as accurate as it does these slightly larger cast slugs. The standard slugs are typically too soft and too small. I am of course judging by the "target" performance, I know that some people will say that it is very accurate for hunting with standard slugs.

Gregor, with Slug Altaros 35.3 grains you said that the gun is at 170 bar on the regulator, how many clicks did you give in the power adjustment to reach the 950 fps of the video? On the G6 do you see any need to use more than 170 bar on the regulator to use 35 grain slug? Congratulations on your videos!

Number of clicks is not the same on all guns. I would start with 2 full revolution from minim for start and go up to 2,5 revolution max... (I believe one revolution is 16 clicks...)

Yes, with pellets, it can still happen that they are not stable especially with the newer version of Redesignes... With slugs, the stability is only dependent on how well they are made (ho concentrically mass is distributed). So the most stable are of course Altaros slugs as they are perfectly concentric...

They are not loose but not very snug fit either (I assume that is what you are interested in). I also want to test MK V3 sized to a 5,57, those would be a snug fit but still not require too much force to put in the magazine... Will do more tests.

Typically, their guns with fixed regulators were set to 120 bars for .177 and .22 and to 140 bars for .25 and .30 cal. But if you are asking of a .22 shooting JSB monster will be ok, the answer is definitely YES.

I am not overwhelmed with this gun. Due to cost it is unlikely that I would have bought one anyway but after this video I see no reason to save up. Also, they really need a better loading system. There is no such thing as a "speed reload" on this gun.
