Nice work Rick! I updated to the 1.2.9 firmware package today, and was pleased with the improvements. Hubsan has always done well with their automated flight modes, and now that they're active in the Mini Pro I was able to give them a test. As expected they worked great. I am still not happy with the video quality produced by my Zino Mini Pro, and am hoping to see that improve with updates as well. Well done, I look forward to more of your tests of this drone in future.

Wishing the laws on flying drones were a little more lax here in the UK but I understand most of the time. although you did say there are birds several times, but what actually flew infront of the drone were bee's more than once. Also noticed in the lake flyover that you had the same sort of glitch along the bottom edge I sometimes get on my gopro hero 7 black with the weird coloured bar of what seems like data corruption.

Rick, thanks for the review. However, in regards to the heat, I do understand that heat can be an issue, especially in warm climates such as Texas. Hello sir, Please tell me that Hubsan has not gone down the the dreaded EWFC road. that was the one thing that separated them from the over complicated and touchy Enhanced Wifi Flight Control where you need to connect a tablet or a phone. I've owned two Hubsan quads over the past three years. The original Hubsan 1 and the Hubsan 2. I'll never purchase another Hubsan product. I just don't trust Hubsan to do the right thing. The horrendous lens flare issues on the 1 and 2 are legendary. Technical support from Hubsan is marginal at best. So if you encounter a problem with your drone, Hubsan will most likely take a VERY long time to resolve the issues. And most important, the quality of the footage on the new Mini Pro is just so-so. Low dynamic range, constant exposure changes in "Auto" mode and I saw some pixelating on the bottom of the screen during some of the videos. Like I said before, I've owned two Hubsan's but I'm not buying a third.
@Dronevalley3 жыл бұрын
I'm a fan of you flying what you like, and am sorry to hear about your past experience with Hubsan. I'm always willing to give a company a chance to improve, and am ever hopeful that the tech will get better. I've been flying the new Zino Mini Pro for a few weeks and it's holding up really well. A lot of what you mentioned on the video quality is a result of the smaller sensor in the camera since they can only stretch the tech so far. Some of it was from the rendering and compression that KZbin piles onto videos when you upload them. I'm flying all of the current sub-250g quads and the new Zino Mini 2 has a lot of features the other don't and I think it's leading the pack right now for a smaller drone.

Hi, what'll be if someone send drone to mission but drone will lost RC signal, and how to manage it to finalized mission if it lost RC signal?

While I'm glad that there is another challenger to the 800 lb. gorilla, I'm not sure that Hubsan is ready to go 'toe to toe' with them, especially after some of the other reviews I've seen, which pointed out (with video) serious defects. Some of those defects are/were: disconnects from the app/tx (possible cheap cabling provided); poor horizon & horizon drift; data rate; runs hot. I know you tried to 'poo-poo' some of these observations, but ... the 800 lb gorilla doesn't have these issues (nor do some other candidates). Based on what I've seen so far though, I'd be more likely to buy this one than the Fimi/Xiaomi X8 Mini .. which, from reviews, looks like crap (again, Xiaomi!) . I did like all the 'mentions' which Lon Denard (see below my comment) had to make .. sort of reiterating things we've seen in other reviews & not fully addressed in your glowing presentation. We'll see where this one winds up after it has some time to mature & hopefully iron out the bugs (or 'features', as we liked to call them in the engineering world).
