It is fantastic to see you and Cody hiking together again. All the hiking logistics made me think of Grandma Gatewood who just rambled along the trail to become the first solo female thru-hiker of the AT back in 1955. Imagine the freedom and challenges of the early AT hikers.

I feel like GPS should let you know if the route you've selected is going to take you through another COUNTRY. I mean, Apple Maps will give you a heads up that a particular route has tolls at certain times of day. And that's a far cry from entering another country!

We are originally from Missouri and are now living in Florida bur don't like it here and are looking to move again, but don't want to make a mistake again and move to a state we'll end up hating. We are planning a trip to check out Ohio before we move there and see if we might like it better than Florida.

It was a jab at the Appalachian Trail Conference. My comment was based by based on your experience during the shut down of the trail during Covid . I think you did a heart felt video on the treatment or rejection of your thruhike status during that time. With the weather issues you have had this year and now the NOBO to SOBO it seems ATC might give you a hard time again, although they WANT YOU TO HIKE YOUR OWN HIKE. Does my comment make more sense .
