No wonder I got kicked out of the band, lead guitarist is a demi-god, 8-stringer is a sorceress, bass dude is a prodigy, producer's a necromancer, singer's a death lord, and the drummer is better than me at guitar. Oh well, fun while it lasted. Still waiting to hear about that Metallica gig, will keep y'all posted

I love how different everyone's solos were. Steve: fleet fingered shredding masterpiece. And somehow he keeps it melodic and tasteful.He's so good, we expect nothing less anymore. Tyler: fun, raunchy, rockin string bend fest. Looked like he was having more fun than anyone ever thought possible. DJared: pure wankery at its finest. He plays super fast and throws in so many tricks so fast, you might not be able to absorb them all in one listen. Sarah: Understated Virtuosity. Decides to solo during the clean sections and shows her unique style of 8 string goodness. I personally would've loved to see her throw down on the heavy sections as well but I appreciate her willingness to serve the song. All phenomenal players. And Adam I was hearing that bass holding down the groove. Truthfully this song was kind of a Kindergarten level jaunt for a Bassist with Doctorate level musical knowledge.

Adam probably had a big part in writing with Sarah for her parts. Her bit is a little different than what I normally hear from her (or maybe not, I don’t listen to her all the time) and probably helped a lot in the production process.

honestly i didnt like jared's solo. even the slower melodic parts he added in between the dumb wankery wasnt thought out and didnt even fit the song harmonically. and the solo was more parts and material than an actual connected solo

I never commented this to you guys, but my best friend sent me this link shortly after my wife and I lost a child, and I was in an extremely dark place in my life. I listened to this song every day, multiple times a day, for a month. I credit this song for helping me get through that time, and I still come back to it when I'm feeling and thinking those things, again. Thank y'all for this.

J D that’s exactly what pushes me away from Sarah. I wish she had found her own sound, but it’s identical to Tosin generally. This djenty proggy clique is so self-feeding. I know my comment is super critical, but I just wish people would try harder to be unique rather than just glomming on to a sound.

@Zeta9966

Loose Cannon! Exactly, because every guitarist you mentioned has unique character in their playing and space between their notes. They utilize blinding speed in tasteful moments. In my opinion, Tosin and Sarah are both just two hand tapping into oblivion. Just nonstop. If they aren’t, then the other guitarist is picking up. There’s no dynamic. Clean and distortion and back isn’t dynamic.

Excellent composition. I watched the making of as well because I like you all so much, and honestly I was probably most impressed at how well the composition turned out with so many different people involved. Everyone is terrifically talented, and it’s so easy for egos to get involved when that’s the case, but I didn’t see it at all here in the product. Everyone knows what they can bring, and it was all apparent. Even the mega jams that various people put out each year are impressive for the same reason. It makes me hopeful to see that rock / metal is alive and well in the next generation. And also that I’m too old for anyone to want to play with anymore. I played in several bands in the 80’s, a couple of which were very good, but no way could anyone pull off stuff like this back then. The egos were way huge, and it was a feat to pull off keeping a four piece together with set material, forget doing an awesome collab. Well done guys, truly excellent!
