I attended the Downton Abby movie premiere on September 20th - didn't disappoint, the sarcasm flew back & forth & so did the humour. The period drama was what you would expect from that time period & it was interesting to see where the various characters lives had taken. There were a few scenarios that left opportunities open for a follow up movie to this one, bring it on, already have ideas :)!

If you see Mr Bonneville in a one-man teleplay of a Victorian novel called Diary of a Nobody, you get a much better picture of what a wonderful actor he is. He's extremely funny and versatile (he also does wonderful shark-eyed sociopaths -- as in Daniel Deronda).

After my close Navy friend (who oddly was NEVER on board a ship) passed away at an advanced age, I learned through normal Navy channels that his work involved secret communications. Basically the same as here: intercepting communist communications for analysis. He never even hinted at such a thing. The people in our lives are sometimes more interesting than we ever knew.
