This is going to look awesome when you have it installed. 👌

It definitely came together really, really well! Next video will show it off in detail. Although now that it is all together it looks so simple, hard to imagine where 100s of hours went 🤣

Thanks! It's done, and you can see more on my IG highlights @tonymaplesphotography - have several videos in the works as well. Lived in this thing for about 3 months since this last video! Lots of adventures

Hey bro! Did you pass through Tonopah, NV during Jim Butler days? I swear i saw you in your hummer h2. I was in a lifted black hummer h2 and i told my friend “that’s the guy from KZbin. I watched his videos to fix my hummer!”
@TonyMaples2 жыл бұрын
Haha yeah that was probably me then! I've been on the road since March, living in the Hummer and traveling around the west teaching photography and shooting some fine art stuff. I actually just got back to Texas about a week ago, I was passing through there on my way to Oregon!

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing you too, although there's a lot of these trucks out there, there's not that many ones that I think are really cool, so anytime I see a lifted one or one with a little bit of work done I get excited lol. I'll definitely be doing some videos on my trips these past many months, but I have a ton of highlights on my photography page @tonymaplesphotography including getting stuck in the middle of a lake for over 5 days, and then blowing up my transmission cooler on the highway - it was an eventful time 🤣

@@TonyMaples dude so cool! I film a TV show out here in Nevada for 5 years now, so if you ever pull through Vegas hit me up. It’s called Spirit of Nevada. Would love to film a segment of hummers. We were filming in Tonopah for the show. You can find us on Facebook an everything else. I look forward to seeing your videos! You do some cool things bro! I literally blew up my hummer too on the way back but she’s being fixed now. Gotta live these vehicles!

@@officialpurdy the I'm actually in Vegas all the time, I was there for two weeks this trip helping out at another custom automotive shop, and I'll be there again this month, but just flying in for a couple days, seriously there like five times a year lol, this year was the first time I had the Hummer out that way, but I'm sure I'll be back out there again with it. Vegas is a really good hub to tons of great locations all within just a few hours of the city. Would be cool to get the Lotus out there for you as well - definitely shoot me a DM on Instagram if you want to talk some more, would love to check out what you are doing!

did you finish the build? if so, can you send or post pictures or a video of it? I cannot find the video if it is done. I am very interested because I am doing this exact build on my H2 now.
@TonyMaples2 жыл бұрын
Finished and got right on the road, close to 6 months living it in this year traveling and teaching photography. I have some Instagram highlights showing it off on my IG @tonymaplesphotography, and I'll finally film an overview of the finished build sometime soon. Priorities have been all over the place!

Sooo been following this build off and on since my H2 is identical!!! How much weight did this mod add? I took mine rock crawling in TN and had to empty the rear out to lighten it up . Still got the fridge and camping gear in mine and it dose great for overlanding, just make sure you take extra fuel cans with you. I can't wait to see the finished product.

Very nice! I honestly haven't kept track, I don't do any too serious on the crawling side of things so it hasn't been important to me. I have stayed in it about 30 nights so far, and I'm out in Utah and the area for the next 6 weeks doing photography and exploring and it's held up pretty well so far. I'll make an update video of the finished build eventually, but I have some posts and highlights on my IG too you can go check out! @tonymaples. Feel free to send me a DM if you have any questions 🤙🏼

I've posted some on my IG feed and story highlights - been living in it the past couple weeks while teaching photography down near Big Bend so haven't had an opportunity to make an update video yet. Will do soon! @tonymaples

Any updates on this build? Very interested in doing something similar
@TonyMaples2 жыл бұрын
Yes actually, finished and hit the road back in March to teach photography and travel. Spent about 3 months over 12k miles in it, just haven't had an opportunity to edit any of the videos I've shot along the way yet. Have some highlights on my personal IG with more details of the build, and then there's some on my photography page as well! @tonymaples @tonymaplesphotography
