Hummer h3 alpha 2008 15 year update on how it’s holding up. Extra clips. 9/30/22 not for sale

I own a 09 h3t alpha truck with the adventure and luxury package I believe gm only built 5300 trucks total and 400 5.3 v8 from 09-10 the only problem I just discovered is frame rust / rot I bought this from new jersey 18 months ago I saw a Crack in frame then I crawl underneath hummer and found many rotten rust that has eaten thru frame I seen you are in Illinois where they use salt in winter I suggest you inspect and do some frame protection for me I get mine sand blasted and new frame metal in bad areas that's all I can do gm has written off h3t hummer almost no upgrades even tho Chevrolet cannon was built off hummer platform but nothing will exchange over I live in Texas we don't use salt on roads when we do get ice on roads we just stay home close everything almost mine h3t a keeper too

I like to play in soft snow for sure. I run through car wash that gets underneath. Next time I get oil changed il def have them look for that. Here in Illinois basically a minor fender bender they total them out. My neice has a black alpha she purchased is South Carolina no issues. I have a few shorts with the black one In it. We love to mess with ppl have them out together. Hers has way more detail than mine. It’s very nice. Keep enjoy your nice ride 👍

I miss my GMC … and my Bose CD player …. Mine was a 2005… it got totaled by hit-and-run driver… when I get my 2016 Chevy equinox paid off in 2 more years going to go back to an older GMC again hopefully… if I can find one…❤❤❤ Your Alpha hummer is gorgeous

They make aftermarket clips (on ebay...use to be on amazon) bigger/better clips to keep the storage nets from coming off. The originals are horrible. I know GM knew this when they shipped it,....obviously they didn't care 🤬🤬🤬. My take on the H3:....Yes I have one. H3 is more practical then the H2 in a non country area. I think the H3 looks better then the H2. If you're a back seat passenger, the H2 probably wins because of size and layout. My biggest grip is the back seat don't reline even a little and theirs no middle arm rest. I know they could have designed that in. I wish the H3 had more soft touch materials vs plastic. I have one and I hope it last a life time. If I can ever afford it, I will try to get the recent electric version.

I found an Alpha with 120k miles. Not too bad for the year, for $14k. And one with. 84k miles for $22k There's a few I'm looking at for under $10k that have the inline 5 cylinder engine. Which is a good engine, the same engine that's in my 2012 Colorado. But a V8 would be better to take out on the trails. You have a beautiful, well maintained H3. Thanks for sharing
