Now this is what should've been recommended to me. Not that whining cringy squeal of a woman video with the one where the whale scrapped off the barnacles. This video is way more calming and its refreshing knowing that you lovely people have a well understanding of the whale and happily enjoyed the experience without all of the hooting and hollering.

At least she could form a sentence. The bearded monster with her seemed paralyzed and the only thing he could come up with was "OH MY GOD!" Her: "I think we should leave." Him: "OH MY GOD!" Her: "Let's get out of here." Him: "OH MY GOD!" Her: "He left barnacles on our boat." Him: "OH MY GOD!" Her: "I think he might have damaged our boat." Him: "OH MY GOD!" Either his ears, brain, or mouth don't work properly, but he was twice as cringy as the girl.

Humpbacks are part of the "Rorqual" family which also includes the Blue Whale and the Fin Whale. The most instantly identifiable about them are their throat grooves which make their mouths expand ten fold. Humpbacks, being the friendly, approachable creatures they are had the misfortune to become prime prey for whalers after the harpoon cannon with exploding harpoon was invented in the late 1800's, to give you a very sobering statistic, not nearly 20 years after its invention 90% of all the humpbacks were wiped out. There's a movie about Whaling shot in the fifties where Humpbacks are seen approaching the factory ship and the narrator says "It would appear they are mocking us since they are of a species which is outlawed, we cannot shoot them according to international law." So the fact that they're still around is a miracle.
