Hungary Narrow Gauge

Narrow Gauge in Hungary - Mk48 diesels haul local passenger trains on the network radiating out of Nairegyhaza
to Balsa and Dombrad. The sections are split and combined at Herminatanya, the junction seen on the video. A quaint operation with much streetside running in the towns. The signals are not for train control, but rather to tell the driver to stop to pick up passengers.

@fmnut You know what? I am a bus driver but I would quit my job to jump driving one of those trains!!! Maybe a train like that cost a lot compared to a bus but a railcar would works as well! Or transform it in a tramway... But sure I talk by ma passion... One who doesn't give a damn about railways would say: hey I lost money why should I keep it rolling!? And they did.
