I'm from NC, Morganton to be exact. I had more trees down than left standing, but, with 8 structures, nothing damaged except a power pole. Other places not so lucky. Many died, many homeless, many out of work. Except for the Asheville area, FEMA was useless, or, impeded the locals trying to help neighbors! But, as you have it, locals won, several places were set up, mostly fire depts., and churches. No questions, you just went and got what you needed, be it warm coats, or a heat source, and yes, food and water. They still need help too. I took a truck load of stuff up there, and my payment, lots of hugs. So much tree damage, flood damage and the worse, the land slides. Please keep these people in your prayers.

I own a construction company and we have hired numerous people for labor who have lost there jobs to provide them with an income while they try to get through this. Jay & Jen-- After viewing the previous episode (summer comes to an end) last week, I wanted to compliment you on the drone footage and the relaxing music intro. That had me thinking. You should really consider making some 30 minute videos [1 for each season] and title? market ? list them as seasonal nature w music relaxation videos. The additional changing seasonal color in this episode would be perfect for middle to end with a few more scenes of animals? or water features around you with autumn color. The music in other video (end of this one) {guitar/piano/violin} was sooooo relaxing and pleasant. I also liked the fast banjo?guitar in this one (maybe for middle). I know you can make good revenue from these types of videos, as we all search them out to sometimes escape a horrid work day. Have fun with this idea in your spare time, ha!ha! Will play this video twice per day for a week for donation help and refer to several friends also that I have previous recommended your channel.

What you are doing is fantastic, however we know a lot of people in western North Caroling and were actually scheduled to go to Fontana Lake and rent a pontoon to use the drones to video all the fall colors the week after all the flooding hit. Due to roads and phones out, we could not get information and stayed home. I would have to say people are worse off than in Florida because thousands lost their homes and were not in flood zones so didn't have flood insurance and their insurance companies wouldn't even talk to them about it. So they lost their homes totally and also are out of work with no home anymore. Samaritan's Purse volunteers are distributing anything donated and buying supplies with cash given, helping them along with Georgia and Florida so we are urging people to send them money and other KZbin channels who are in the Mid South are giving their channel's income to them and other charities. Florida will be back to normal years before western North Carolina, but help anywhere you feel you should is better than not helping at all.

@@OffgridwithJayandJen 1.8 million people were without power in South Carolina and nobody talked about it on the news, North Carolina definitely got hit harder than Florida, in North Carolina table rock is being erased along with the bat cave, we had people from Florida flying in on private helicopters trying to help people and the gooberment stopped them with threats of arrest and don't get me started on how they recently found lithium in those hills.
