Okay so this might sound silly or dramatic but like, I’m so genuinely happy that you guys decided to start putting out these episodes on KZbin. Seeing as I wasn’t even alive when it started coming out, and that I live in the states, I had never even heard of the moomins until I looked up the meaning of a song lyric mentioning Snufkin and Little My. I had kind of forgotten about it for a while after that, and thought nothing of it until the first episode popped up in my recommendations section, and ever since then I’ve looked forward to when the next episode gets uploaded. This show has really been helping me through this school year because lately it’s been nothing but exhaustion and anxiety for me, but when I sit down and watch an episode of this show, I just feel so much better. Thank you guys, really!

Moomin and Snufkin are definitely connected to each other in a strong way that I can see. This year had definitely effected them greatly if both of them ended up getting ill while they had been separated during the winter months. Even if you are doing what you wish, you wish to see someone important. And the moment with Stinky actually willing to help Moomin go find Snufkin was surprisingly kind of him, and everyone immediately yelled at him. This is why troublemakers have issues getting out of bad habits cause others still get on you even when you've done nothing wrong.

What a complex episode. I understand why I've been hearing so much about this Teety-Woo character now. It really fleshes out Snufkin's character. We get to see him on his travels, see him irritated with something, and see him showing compassion. For that matter, the cold frustration he has on his face when he looks at Moomin is very revealing about his inter struggle of being well loved (and apparently also famous?) and not feeling that others should admire him as much as they do. Perhaps he's right with how badly it affects Moomin. This is really speaking to me as I'm growing fully into adulthood and beginning to have less and less time to spend with my siblings who I care for very dearly. It's been tough, but I also have to learn how not to hold on to them too tightly. Pining over the people who are far away too much doesn't help anything. It only makes things more painful than they need to be. Also, we've learned that Snufkin actually knows how to play a different song on the harmonica! LOL. Also, I appreciated that Stinky - in spite of his near-homicidal tendencies - cares enough to look after Moomin when he insists on going to look for Snufkin. Even the darkest vessels can still harbor a light in them. Also, Yay! More boldness out of Snorkmaiden. I was worried early on in this series that I wouldn't like her, but she's been growing on me... I wish I could see episodes of the new series so I could see what they are doing differently, but oh well. :) ....Oh wow... I had a lot to say about this episode. Maybe I should make videos about this show? If anybody likes that idea, let me know I guess.

I would watch your moomin video essays! This is really interesting and in depth and also I agree with everything you said (yay!). I totally loved seeing snufkin trying to decide between the instant gratification (being alone and traveling) and the later (whatever the term is lol) gratification of having to say goodbye to the peace and quiet but make others happy and set himself up for a more trusting relationship with moomin. If he hadn’t come back until later, that friendship would have definitely lost some trust, so Snufkin deciding to go to the valley was very wise.

Lillian Adkins I just remembered I have a notebook with Moomin on the cover. On the inside are all the Moomin characters including Snufkin, but each Snufkin is cut off so you never really get a good picture of him. It is probably not purpose, but I thought it is clever. Snufkin wouldn’t want to be on merchandise, so him hiding away from being fully seen on some is pretty in character. Lol
