8:55 had that happen to many times to count when i was newer to bass fishing. any time i fish eats it to the point its teeth can touch the line check it and if theres any fraying at all, re-tie, no matter how little that nick in the line is.

flouro sinks and is less visible. 99% of the time it does not matter, unless your dealing with really clear water + finicky fish.

hunter PRO1 Mono has way more stretch then flouro. Flouro is also a little smaller in diameter.

My buddy took me out for a day on his boat 2 summers ago and i watched him throw a buzzbait for the entire day. Prior to that day i had no confidence in the buzzbait and had really never thrown them much. I thought a surface bait only worked consistantly early morning and evening on a hot sunny day but oh boy was i wrong. After watching him catch a dozen smallies/largies on the buzzbait i had one tied on and ive had one with me everytime i fish since.

The thing is.. I love fishing I don't do it as much as you clearly, but I don't understand how you know what is a frogging rod or just a swim bait rod.. I have a 7 foot Okuma ROX med/heavy on 12lb viso line and I just use it for everything. I have a six foot ugly six and I use that for everything on my six foot ive caught fish up to 30lbs to 1lb. So I guess that's something that takes time idk. Then I have a bait caster but I have caught anything yet its a 7 foot med hev bill dance style rod... I mean I do have a rod that's meant for monster steelhead and salmon that I wont use on bass you know but Idk I guess I just need to learn still which rods are for what
