*Coming up on having had this saw for a year....am a casual user and bought it to cut up sections for bowl blanks. Easy to start, **Bestfor.Garden** also recommend even after storage for a couple of months. Simple chain tension adjustment. Just cut up some 20" Osage Orange, including ripping bolts in half (at an angle). Like butter!*

I always use the compression release on my 445. It prolongs the life of the pull rope. Mine starts easily when cold but not so easily when hot. It's a good homeowner grade saw but it does have some issues. The single bar bolt is prone to loosening, the air filter is a little small, and the chain oiler pumps even when the saw is idling and is not adjustable. That makes it prone to clogging.

Ive had one since 2008 and it still runs like new. Great saws. The oilers suck on them though.

Recommend running husqvarna bar and chain oil. This saw does not do well with cheap bar oil. I use vp racing fuels 50:1 gas. This saw is a beast. Cut up several trees over 7 years of owning it.

So the threaded bolt in between the two bar studs, slid down into the chainsaw. Any help on how I get it out, and replace that

i just got my 445 xtork and the bar doesnt hav a hole to put grease in it is that ok or how do i grease the bar.

I bought chainsaw H445 II but i don't have decompression valve is that a other model of 445 or something else?

If your saw has "Easy Start", it won't have a decompression button. With "Easy Start", pull the start cord evenly to wind up the start spring. About half way through the pull the starter will spin the motor and it will start. Don't yank, or 'drop-start' an easy start saw.

i got the same i believe its an older model the plate will show the "release"date mine is 2021 newer model..

I've had this saw for a while with very lil use. Lately, after I run out of gas, the choke won't stay up and the saw will not start. This all happened when I brought my saw into a store and this guy fiddle with the carburetor...Would have that caused a problem? What about my choke not staying up...This part seems random.

That choke lever is connected to the carb, maybe when it was serviced the linkage was bent? Maybe put back in the wrong hole,,, obviously something has been tweeted somehow,,,

Would trying to pull up the choke without pulling it out cause that? I have seen quite a few guys doing that on my saw in shops.

+Beards and Branches hmmm,,, I wouldn't think so, but anything is posable I guess without having eyes on it to see what's going on I can't really say.. If your near by the shop here in elgin we can take a look at it for ya

I cannot get mine to start. I replaced the spark plug, air filter and fuel filter. Any suggestions?

check for spark. If none, you may need a new coil. Get it from Husky, not China made on e-bay. I did that and it quit working in a month.

I noticed u said it has an automatic oiler that’s non adjustable….however on mine there is a chain link with a oil drop above it that has a + and - indicator making it seem adjustable ….mine still isn’t putting out enuff oil leading to major bar wear….any help would be appreciated…thx

@@shanejohnston1253 I think that that same piece of plastic housing with the +/- is used on some other models that have an adjustable oiler.

Make sure it has fuel in it, properly mixed, push the decompression button on top, pump the primer bulb a few times, pull the choke out (should automatically switch to run position as well) then pull..

Jimmy, it's best to leave these carb adjusters alone unless you REALLY know what you are doing. It's easy to lean out the mixture at high RPMs and burn up your saw.
