I agree. Really wish the Leatherman Garage could have made a tool dense plumbing tool, Automotive dense tool, a specialized version for another field in a similar package to the Leatherman MUT. Oh well...

I love the MUT. Used it alot in the jungle and almost everyday i used every single tool. Even the punch tool and the scraper was super useful for different tasks. Id love to have a diamond file on it too. I think it is my most favorite Leatherman tool. Pro tip, you can actually store 2 bits in each side if you remove the long bits. Thats a total of 12 different bit heads if you fill the bit holder on the side and the actual bit driver. Pretty amazing!

My Latherman Mut has saved me from a few headaches at the range and helped me repair my Honda brake light switch button. This tool has been the best I've had and it's my EDC

I love military styled multitools and i think the MUT EOD is probably one of the best ones out there (yes, the EOD specifically) ergonomic as hell and super useful for military and law enforcement operators. Certainly nice to have in a collection, but mostly useless if you are a civilian with a civilian job

@@hvacbudget8600 It would certainly be nice, but that amount of engineering comes with a cost. The MUT is usually about 180 to 200 here in Europe, and engineer multitool like that would cost too much and not be worth it for Leatherman to produce on a large number. or at least this is my opinion, but yeah i agree, it would be cool to see more multitools this complex.

In place of the long bits, you can fit 2 double sided short bits I outfitted mine with 6 of the most useful bits from a bit kit

I think he missed the stuck casing removal tool for an 5.56 AR type firearm. This was designed primarily for hard use in a military field environment not so much for shopping mall civilians.

It’s good to see that they tried to make a military multi tool. I wonder what the percentage is made in the USA 🇺🇸? The bad thing about it is that Gerber has all the military multi tool contracts at a much lower price and they issue them to everyone in the military. Because what the military buys are all Berry Compliant meaning they are 100% made in the USA not assembled with components that are made overseas. I am torn between buying this one or the Charge T1.

The MUT is better for firearm maintenance, the signal is better for camping. The MUT is heavier duty and bigger on the belt. The Signal is lighter duty and easier to edc.

Cool military, first responder or gunsmithing multitool. For me, its really too specialized for me needs. I like more of a generalized, all around toolset. I've really been enjoying the second generation Wave and Bond for everyday carry for the past couple of months.

The Surge, or the 300m are Better options. You won’t need the bolt over ride feature of this tool. You can do that with a paint can opener, or mortar the rifle if your BCG gets stuck.

Good luck if it’s extreme cold temperatures and you need these tools in an emergency. I don’t like leatherman’s, I rather carry all these individual separate, works better especially if you got shaky hands or don’t have the dexterity
