The glute bridge is no joke. Doing that was probably the first therapeutic exercise that led to me realizing fitness is the way to reduce aches and pains. Thank you so much for the explanation of how this posture happens! I’ve wondered for years why my back seemed to arch inward, but it corresponded with working a sedentary job and losing basically all my muscle mass/ gaining fat in my gut. I tried these at the recommendation of my physiotherapist and it made my back pain worse, so she recommended a STARTER for a few weeks of just getting used to using my abs to press my spine flat against the floor (as shown for proper form) before starting the lifts and more advanced exercises. Worked a charm, and my back is WAY better now!❤👍 Just remember if you're not used to it, build up slow, and don't overdo things.😊

Back problems are not age related. Lifestyle has more to do with it than age. And you can get better by exercising. For example, I had a lot of back problems in middle school, because of lugging the ye olde school bag full of books around and sitting all day in class. Today I only get back pain if I forget to strech my back every now and then when I sit at the office all day long.
@saywhat4314
@saywhat4314 2 жыл бұрын
@@Laerei yea i think sitting down all day is really what does it. Doing stretches and going on long walks could help. Really just being on your feet in general. But thats kind of something we have to go out of our way to do nowadays. Kind of strange how things have changed…

Thank you for showing your back while doing the bridges and pelvic curl, it really helped me to see how the spine/back should look. (BTW looking at your spine come down one vertebrae at a time somehow made ny back feel good knowing it's even possible to have that much muscle control). Also, I was doing the deep lunges by putting my foot on the step and stretching down. I had no idea I was doing a modified lunge because it does help relieve the pain. I just have to remember to work each side evenly. Thanks for giving all this info in a concise package.

If you do this and don’t have pain yet, correct it now. Basically straighten your back. It will feel like your tucking your butt under, but that’s good. It will save you in the long run. A lot of young people do this because it’s easier to support your backpack if it’s resting on your butt. Fix it now, save yourself trouble

I appreciate your wording around APT *sometimes* being caused by these things. And stretching MAY help alleviate pain. I have incredibly loose and strong hip flexors, glutes, and FANTASTIC hams. My core could use work. However, I was born with an anterior pelvic tilt and all of my joints are messed up. While stretching does help alleviate the pain and strengthening does lessen how often I feel the pain, for me it will never go away. I do what I can to mitigate the pain. We all win some and lose some in the genetic lottery. I have great muscle building genes but terrible joints lol

I literally did this like now for 30 seconds in each pose 😅 I've been having some pain in my lower back and hips since 2 nights ago and couldn't sleep at all. It did relieve some pain and will continue to do this. Thankyou ❤

HOLY CRAP. Everything you said about align exactly with my case. It's been getting worse over the past several weeks and I need to know if these can really help. Thank you so much!

Thanks Hampton, most important we need to do the exercises... I have had herniated disc and sciatic nerve problem and did physical therapy for a while and what you have demonstrated is some plus different variation of what I was taught to do to loosen up the lower back. Keep putting these videos out and hopefully I will finally get back to the routine for a better back.

Some of these exercices were taught to me by a physiotherapist (scoliosis), so I would do this everyday at home. Very nice of you to share that. Also the lack of horny comments is disturbing.

Hi hampton! You should try doing the glute bridges with a good brace and a neutral spine, it has an interesting effect while keeping the spine neutral. Not to say that what you showed was bad, but for some people the flexion of the lower back might cause issues. Have a good day.
