Hi Alex, I purchased my Palisade on Friday, but discovered very quickly after getting it home that there is a major design flaw that could greatly affect the safety of children! (2nd row passenger captain seats) When the walk through entry button is pressed, the seat will fold forward and slide forward, even while in motion! This happened with my 8 year old son in his booster seat. I have triplets, it's easy to say " don't push the button" but we all know " it was an accident" happens all the time. This is a major concern for me, and wanted to let others know that this does happen. (Sadly my dealership was 'unable' to assist me as " it's a design feature of the vehicle")

Recently (two weeks ago) purchased a 2022 Palisade Calligraphy AWD: but there are still some areas for product improvement: add power folding exterior side mirrors, add sunglass holder in interior and add illumination for the overhead light buttons above driver and front passenger (the POI buttons are illuminated but the light buttons aren't, that's odd and an omission in form/function) and those rims on calligraphy trim are a bit 'loud', design something more classy the ones on current and previous Limited trim); and last but not least, consider adding hybrid powertrain as is offered on many other Hyundai products.

I do like that the second row won't tilt with a child seat in it. My friend had a VW SUV and a kid in the back row pushed the tilt button and her child in the second row got squished up against the driver seat. Even though for the Palisade it'd be a pain to get to the third row, that safety feature will help forward facing kids in the second row.

The wife has this vehicle and have to say Hyundai what a great job, I'm a car guy, but I love taking the Palisade out for a drive here and there. The features you get, the luxury inside this cabin, I see a lot on the road, just surprised I don't see more. When I see a any of its competitors, I kind of laugh at the people who own them. How can I not knowing we paid basically the same money , yet I'm driving a far more luxurious vehicle. Not to mention the attention this vehicle gets. When we first got it, I was getting tired of all the questions every where we went. Hyundai needs to cut us a check for the promotion we did on this vehicle.

Great review.. The child seat you have are travel seat, but if you get actual seats, they are a lot wider. But it does help understand on what is duable and what is not. 👍

I just replaced my wife's 2017 Advanced MDX with Captain's chair for a 2020 Palisade Limited with Captain's chairs. The Palisade blows the MDX away in luxury, space and tech. Telluride is also great, but I prefer the Palisades interior, the limited trim which is what we got.

@@TexasNette The third row in the Palisade is one of the roomiest ones in this class. The limited trim which is what have allows the seats to recline making it more comfortable.

@@juandiegogonzalez4552 Absolutely, the Palisade is also much more roomier than the MDX. With that said I hear the 2022 MDX which goes on sale this summer is roomier than it's previos model.

Didn’t see it in the comments but “3nd” row is killing me lol.. glad for the video though parents need videos like this.. would love a stroller fit test on these cars too. Many can’t fit a large stroller. My current Ford Explorer can just barely with squeezing fit out jogging stroller with the 3rd row up

The Palisade can, if you sit it on it’s side. But don’t expect to fit anything else back there.

I was wondering about the ability to have two car seats in the back with either the Telluride or the Palisade. We have two 4-year olds and 1 newborn. We were interested in putting the 4-year olds in the back together and seems we'd have to put them together to use the Latch (both in the seats as well as the Latch to the back of the seat). Is that possible with the Telluride or Palisade to do this? Even if one kid didn't have the Latch (just using the seat belt) and we'd have to put them apart, is there any reason that might not be advised? Likewise, would it be possible to drop the one seat (the "40%" seat) there too if we did have two seats together in the 3rd row? Thank you so much. This video was really helpful! Daniel

You have about a foot-this is a very safe car, which is why I bought it. But won’t seat three in the back-and def not three car seats, which is why I sold it.

This car does NOT seat 8! False advertising! Three people in the back is impossible! I need three car seats and made the mistake of getting captain chairs in the middle row. Not happy! Will be transitioning into a Suburban ASAP.
