This video doesn't explain the most important or the only important step: you need to put the screwdriver head in the small groove right above the emergency key hole and press and twist anticlockwise, and the two halves separate. The slot is just wider than a standard straighthead screwdriver. It isn't easy to open it trying to insert the screwdriver elsewhere. I found that in another video.
