Some examples of ilaiyaraaja counterpoint : Thenmadurai vaigai nadhi intro Oru kizhi uruguthu interlude Anjali anjali anjali 2nd interlude ennulle ennule Chinna chinna vannakuyil bass and vocals Elangathu veesuthe synth and vocal Sangathil padatha kavithai bass and vocal I guess thats from the top of my head. I guess there atleast 1000 songs of his that uses counterpoint.
