@@JABRIEL251 you only need 1 branded opening really, branded opening, summon Aluber, Aluber add bf, bf send albaz x tear for lub, lub EFF, tear EFF, tear use aluber and tear to summon masq, lub send itself and albaz for mirror jade, you'lld only have 2 cards left in hand (assuming you didn't send tragedy or something for b.o/lub) but you still haven't normal summoned either 😂

@@REvoLverj98 yeah the Comprehensive Rules for Magic are also incredibly long, they’re not designed for players to read and memorise- they’re explicitly for solving ruling cases and only judges should have any idea of specific rules interactions beyond knowing how to play the game

I have one case about Tri-Hearth and Plasma in Master Duel. My Tri-Hearth automatically negated after my opponent summoned Plasma on the field.

Same the ruling would be plasma would be summoned then tri-heart would be negated so plasma can stay in attack position along with any other card summoned here on out as long as plasma stays on the field it's an odd ruling but that's how it would go

another interesting ruling is that vera the vernuslyph goddess can negate and destroy Tri-hearth's effect if you have 5 earth monsters. because her negate is worded to act like a passive, not a ignition. by passing his effect

Activating cards without legal materials is so frustrating. I went against Ancient Gears with Dark Magicians several years ago with only one Magician Navigation in the graveyard. My opponent activated Power Bond with 4 other cards in his hand and I had to negate it. Then he used Overload Fusion to summon Chaos Giant and attack every monster and win. After the duel, I saw that he only had spells in his hand (nothing on field). I was so angry, especially cuz it wasn’t in a tournament so I couldn’t actually call a judge.

For the plasma ruling, wouldn't jinzo plus final attack orders be pretty close? Like special summoning him in def position with final attack orders up. You can special summon in defense with it up but they are immediately changed to attack position but jinzo negates trap cards. Tri heart forces defense position so you can summon in attack but they are immediately forced into defense but Plasma negates monster effects.

I had a similar situation to the Plasma. I had the Buster Lock (buster dragon and Fusion Buster Blader equiped with Dragon Buster) and my opponent summoned Plasma. MD allowed the Plasma to stay in attack position AND negate my effects even though my monsters were on the field first. I was a little intrigued on how my effect didn't go off first.

I think the ruling is that the new card gets to apply its effects, then the other stuff applies. A small priority interaction that gives the player catching up a chance to actually catch up. Doesn't matter much for activated effects, but for sweeping passives it matters

@@clayxros576 I had someone do research on the cards. Buster Blader negates effects from activating. However, since Plasma is a continuous effect, it beats Buster Blader.

Yes you did answer your own question in the replies. Continuous and Activated effects are the greatest (huge sarcasm) thing to explain to people who are trying to get back into Yu-Gi-Oh! from GX era and prior. I had to explain why Marshmellon wouldn’t be destroyed despite its activated effect being prevented to be activated.

I fell like the plasma tri-heart debacle could have been resolved easier with how Plasma comes in field atk and negates TRI immediately so he doesn't have to go in defense because the effect is auto negated by plasma wording and tri only negates activated effect on def position monsters

@@BigLadle99 yes but tri-heart can't make plasma go to defense if he has no effect Because how it goes down is that nothing on your opponents monster zone has an effect and tri wants to make you go to defense to then negate but plasma can come in on atk position and that's when his effect happens on the being on the field at all, tri effect happens after noticing atk position monster but by that point he is already negated

So quick question, let's say my field is, A legendary ocean and ocean dragon lord kairy shin, and my opponent activates skill drain, which of kairu shin effects is negated. The continous one where you can only control 1 non water type or the search effect for a umi, sea stealth card.

Both effects are negated Note: If you try to use the Search effect of Kairyu-shin with skill drain up, and banish it with Sea Stealth Attack in response, Kairyu-shin is no longer on the field, so can resolve normally

I have a ruling question: My opponent has Skill Drain I have Generaider Boss Stage I Summon Harr and then Summon 4 tokens on a New Chain I then use 3 of those tokens to summon Trias Hierarchia In this case would I be able to pop the Skill Drain and Draw 2 I want to say yes, because the special summon/Pop/draw are all part of the same effect and since it resolves by summoning itself, you can't then negate the pop/draw

Thinking of ruling. Genuine Question. Based of MD. Why does the (I forget the name) big blue Umi serpent who makes it so you can only have 1 non water monster.'s effect keep going once its Inpermed. Unlike Tri-heart who's continuous eff would stop if it was. Is that just a bug or some legit ruling?

I think because is a lingerie effect attached to the card itself. Not an effect and because of that, the condition of "only 1 non water monster" is not negated

Are you sure this is how everything resolved? The effect "While "Umi" is on the field, each player can only control 1 face-up non-WATER monster." is a continuous effect that will go away if Ocean Dragon Lord - Kairyu-Shin is negated.

Curious, why not just ban someone if they've been caught blatantly cheating twice, and by the sounds of it, having been frozen half a dozen times? At that point surely it's better to remove them from the platform to prevent further malicious play ?

Giving multiple chances is simply courtesy. Especially when you can just see their history if they're doing something sus, letting them back in as a second chance isn't a huge deal. Take Dawnstar as an example.

Just think about Continuous effects vs Activated effects. If the card specifies “Activate”, it is an Activated effect. If it does not specify “Activate” or anything of that nature, safe to say it is a “Continuous” effect. Plasma also applies his “Continuous” effect on summon. Which is why this interaction happens. As Tri-Heart is only immune to activated effects of defense position monsters. So Plasma can stay in Attack mode.

Yes. On summon, it applies its continuous effect of negation on the opposing field. It is not an “Activated” effect, it is a “Continuous” effect. It is the same reason why Plasma can negate Towers regardless if Towers was summoned before Plasma. As Towers negates Activated effects, not Continuous effects.

@@SuperSayianWarrior I don’t think you understand what I’m getting at some of the things they try to do in DB can’t be done in MD or in TCG tournaments if they tried pulling off these plays in MD it won’t work because the plays will either be miss timed or because what they thought they could do is actually wrong and can’t actually be done MD is the closest thing to the TCG you can get for the most recent Yugioh Video Game I miss when we used to get new video game releases for the Tcg it’s sad we don’t get any Yugioh WC games anymore

@@SuperSayianWarrior no not exactly you see the ocg isn’t different from the Tcg rulings the only real difference is the banlist that would be the only real big thing that could mess people up that the banlist is not the same but the rulings are bassically exactly the same I know the banlist fucked me up when I came to return to locals I didn’t know Maxx C was banned that’s it I went to locals with an evil twin deck and was looking to put Maxx C in it when the store manager told me it’s banned but everything else for the deck was fine and I got to play and win a couple of matches

@Kayla Nicoles Actually yes. For example if you have Two trigger effects that go off at the same time and one of them includes any effects that Ash can stop. In TCG you can do something called Chain Blocking. For example, E Hero Stratos and Kagetokage. In TCG you can go Stratos Chain 1, Kage Chain 2 to stop Ash Blossom, where as in the OCG you can activate Ash as Chain 2 where Kagetokage would then become Chain 3

Jinzo and Skill Drain is similar to Wildheart and Skill drain, this was in a judge call from about a year or 2 ago, where I think SD was on field first and opponent summoned Wildheart but wasn't sure if Wildheart still had it's uneffected by trap effects, effect, which it didn't because SD was on field first

Idk. You can only use Bagooska's effect for 3 turns top, make your judgment from that.
