Nanami is my favorite JJK character but nobaras death hit harder. She always came off as a “btch” to me but when I saw the empty chairs and the flashbacks I realized she was just a really guarded person and that resonates alot with someone like me that also comes off as a btch to other people just to avoid letting them get close.

The animation on this episode was so much cleaner than the past few. Obviously there was much less action, but the color and lighting was on point. I haven’t been a fan of the past few big fights (we obviously know it’s not the animators fault), but this episode’s action finally felt like they had time to clean things up.

I feel like there was worse animation on the episode last week. You can tell where they were rushed and just used still images, where the fluidity of animation dropped off, and where they used this animation tactic I’ve seen in animated comic book readings where they take a still image of a character and just move that image around in a scene or from one scene to the next to simulate movement. They have been doing just a beautiful job with the anime you hate to see how a lot of the quality is going down like that because of the abuse that is happening at Mappa

Gege akutami the author of jujutsu kaisen said that his biggest inspiration is bleach and a lesson he learned and decided to take for himself is that when he kills off a character, he makes sure not to bring them back, something that bleach lacks and maybe it's biggest flaw, as for jujutsu kaisen you will see more of this as the story continues 😂

Don’t know what you’re talking about but this is one of the best animated episodes this season and one of the more polished ones. The only issue I noticed was like one drawing on Mahito’s face at the beginning. The animation style is Kannada which is a style of animation that utilizes loose and snappy drawings for fluid animation. You see in episode 3 and episode 7 of this season (which this episode director was heavily involved in those episodes). The episode is perfectly as the staff intended. That Mahito beat down sequence was one of the cleanest things in this series (although I noticed it looked like they were sliding across the floors at time) and Nobara vs Mahito looked fantastic.

I agree. It's why I've decided to stop watching the series. I thought Season 2 would be a bit slower but the pace only ramped up and the deaths of characters was, to me, pointless. They didn't grip me like other shonen and seinen do. Additionally, there isn't any breathing room between fights so the fights are really a slog to get through. Too many characters to keep track of and the narrator gets annoying real quick.

Yes she got her backstory moment but traumatic events like that typically occur that fast without the realization of what just took place. I can only image how Yuji feels after seeing two of his friends die right before his eyes

Honestly I don't understand the way this arc is told on the anime. I haven't read the manga but, Nobara was trashed by the pony tail guy and saved by the bell last minute when Nanami arrived. How come she is now fully cured and ready to match a special grade? She was unable to scratch a low rank enemy few episodes ago. There are many "behind the curtain" events not mentioned during this Shibuya incident. I presume Nobara was taken care of and a "healer" cured her. However it makes no sense she could fight Mahito's clone without problems as she is weak.

They explained this well. Gojo's classmate Shoko at Tokyo'd Jujutsi school, who can perform reversed curse techniques and heal others, It is stated that Shoko is a heavily protected asset as not even Gojo can heal others with reversed Cursed energy. It is left on-site on a needs to know basis. Both her and Nitta mentioned it, especially Nitta expressing they kept it on 'need to know basis' because they didn't want sorcerers to be overly ambitious and killed. Haruta, the pony tail curse user, actually has an amazing CT. Nobara would have killed him several times before Nanami showed up because his CT allows for mericales to happen when his life is in danger or certain combat scenarios. Nobara would have killed him with ceiling epxlosion and connected on other interactions if it wasn't due to Haruta's odd CT. That is why Nobara looked weak there. Remember, Haruta hard all 6 miracle slots. Nogara knocked off 2 of them before Nanami's arrival. Make sense?

She will come back from the brink of death with even better understanding of JJS, she will tag team with Yuji to help defeated Sukuna and she's gonna be able to attack Sukuna's soul directly without hurting Megumi's body too much.
