Excellent Sudhir, very matured talk. We cannot simply blame the management alone, employees are also to be blamed. Savings, upskilling, networking will save the fear of layoffs. Contended lifestyle is the saving grace, many employees expand their lifestyle immediately and are unable to cope up the EMI due to this. Key learning is let us not pull the leg of our co workers, our subordinates and be honest, then these pressures will be automatically reduce.

Managers need guts and to run project as Sudhir mentioned. Maybe because managers still fear for their promotion and appraisal now a days young employees are having very lethargic attitude which I can’t blame them.

Very true 100% each and every word and statement is exactly happening and it's reality...I am an non ITworking for last 20 yrs in corporate..it's a big challenge to sustain...lost my peace happiness, thalaila Masaru,health issues etc..still in trap...young generations should talk to people like this and start thinking differently in life to be happy and healthy..not to fall in this trap...

Very well said. I worked both in BPO and IT. Even though many companies don't pressurize, the pressure is mounted by some immature managers, especially from India. To prove themselves, some employees work more than needed which impacts the working culture.

சென்னை போன்ற நகரங்களில் ஐடி பணியாளர்கள் மிகவும் அடித்தரக் கூலிகளாக நடத்தப்படுகிறார்கள். சம்பளமும் குறைவு. அதற்கான காரணமும் நம் ஆட்கள்தான். 25 வருடங்களாக பெங்களூரி்ல் பணிபுரிந்த என்னால் சென்னையில் ஒருநாள் வேலைசெய்ய முடியவில்லை. பெங்களூருக்கே ஓடி வந்து விட்டேன். சென்னையின் பணிக் கலாச்சாரத்தைச் சீரழித்ததும் நம்மவர்களே.

Thanks for sharing ❤ manager mahesh what you’re saying is 💯 zero work life balance in India and 1/3 of salary is only given to Indian resources compared to global salary range. This could be main reason for all causes including crime and corruption. Constitution should change or be updated

I too had lot of health issues post deployed in rotational shifts. Its tough to work at this age for shifts age 35. Currently doing daily exercises n playing cricket in weekends to reduce stress n take care of health.

Sabash manager Sir. I just recalled my past while watching video. In My first IT job, my manager asked to follow the work time with my team lead that was 12 noon to 11pm in 2008 then I replied I can’t without any 2nd thought. He said then no job for you; immediately handover ID card and stepped out. Good thing they gave me 2 months notice and no need to come to office. Got next job in 2 months. 😂 Don’t know how did I react on that day. Since then I have never forced my team members to work more than 8 or 9 hrs even though couple of times it hit my appraisal which I didn’t care about it.

GCC’s are better than service based companies..once a engineer gains 3-4 yrs exp, they should join GCC and encourage other colleagues to avoid service based companies. unfortunately chennai has very less number of GCC when compared to bengaluru. service based companies has been exploiting employees for past 25 yrs..their market cap has crossed beyond 50 billion USD,but starting salary s still 25-30 k. government should take steps to develop advanced industries like electronic,aviation and defense manufacturing.people will have option to join any industry and to make the job attractive good pay and work life balance will become norm.

The reality is these cooperators' company's main goal is to suck their blood. Most of the employees are "silent lambs", because of their financial needs, family etc. Management should support their employees' mental health and physical health and the Health and Safety Committee should be active and care for them. The truth is that many cooperative companies primarily seek to exploit their employees. Too often, staff feel like "silent lambs," trapped by financial pressures and family responsibilities. Management needs to prioritize the mental and physical well-being of their employees. An active Health and Safety Committee should genuinely advocate for its members’ welfare. Above all, the support of family is vital for overall well-being. Together, we can create a healthier and more supportive work environment for everyone. On top of this, all family support is very important.

It depends upon the client which we are working in my culture unless there is much work we will asked to worked on saturday with comp offs that can be taken. During lockdown worked on extensively as the project need to be delivered urgently but after few months we were relaxed and we worked and it has been stable we got some enhancements and defects and work with the time mentioned. Mainly what i am saying it belongs to the client manager which we are working.

So True boss! It is constant pressure and always need to stay YES. Don’t even know how to handle pressure everyday. Entry level easy to leave but once you reach 10+ not easy to leave and find new job and new Job is also same pressure. Worst part of all Indian IT company need to provide process improvement every month 😢. How much you think team can handle this kind of BS!!

The boss stays in the office till 9 pm, and he expects others also to be in the office till that time. But the boss will stay close to the office, may have car with driver, may be trying to impress his boss. Thus he sets the trend, and pushes this down to all the workers. We don't find these in most of the foreign projects done onsite.
