if ur acne prone, cleanse your face and moisturize, THEN add the vaseline. (not only for acne prone) basically vaseline locks EVERYTHING in, so that includes all that gunk, so if you cleanse ur face AND moisturize you get a lot of moisture and no acne!

As someone from a country were it's normal to use Vaseline . Vaseline works better in winter then in summer ,in summer it makes you sweat that's why we use it a lot in winter. Some people use it to have a "glow" .

I use Vaseline under my eyes when it gets irritated by a product or feel dryer than usual and it works very well, I also sometimes use the eye cream on top of the Vaseline to avoid more irritation. I never thought of using it on the rest of my face. I will try this one day. Thank you, great video.

From what I've read and what I think makes more sense you should apply Vaseline on top of the moisturiser as it locks in the moisture, because it almost forms a barrier not letting any moisture penetrate our skin and hence it prevents any water loss from our skin. Does that make sense? For years I've always put oil on my lips and then a thicker balm or Shea butter then locked it in with Vaseline so it protects it. Of course you can do whatever works best for you, but maybe look into it

I use Vaseline mostly when my skin around the eye gets irritated, could be because I use an eye cream that did not agreed or eye make up mover that is to dry or causes damage in my skin or even when I put a face lotion to close to my sling around my eyes. I discovered the use of Vaseline by mistake I don’t like oily stuff around my eyes because it gets in my eyeball but Vaseline did not obviously since it is a of a thicker consistency. Also when I use an eye cream on top of Vaseline that maybe to strong for my skin it does not irritate and I think it still works.

If you're like me, you have oily T zone, so when I apply Vaseline I skip on the nose and forehead. I only apply to nose or forehead if I have a sore. Petroleum jelly changed my life too. I've spent (wasted) so much money on the right moisturizer when all along, I just needed a tub of Vaseline. And I can't stress enough how INEXPENSIVE it is! A large tub of petroleum walmart brand costs 5 dollars or so! I'm in love.

A dermatologist told my sister to use it on her skin cancer scar after they removed the cancer. When I seen my sister I told her I couldn't see where they removed the cancer, so yes Vaseline did a wonderful job.

As a nail tech, vaseline will cause the acrylic to lift. It will cause green mold. I love vaseline and used it to remove my makeup.

Vaseline is non-comedogenic it won't clog the pores. It is best to apply on a damp face because it will trap the moisture from the water and not let it evaporate keeping it hydrated.

Vaseline and Hydrogen peroxide is definitely my go to. While the hydrogen peroxide removes and kills bacteria to produce bumps. it also brightens the complexion while Vaseline seals in water to your skin to keep it plum and healthy. ❤️ i can't tell you how great of a mix those 2 are. loved the video by the way.

@@steelergirl1026 Always make sure to wash your face before hand. afterwards, concerning the peroxide. u can use a cotton ball and apply it all over the face. i usually do it while im bathing so that my pours can open up. then when i apply the peroxide it's easier to break down bacteria. : ) i hope this helps!

I apply at night and I wake up to super soft facial skin in the a.m. I have recently started making sure to apply to brows and eyelashes at night as well. I think I'm already noticing some thickening of brows and eyelashes with this. I don't use vaseline every night on my entire face. I use every other night for entire face. Every night I am applying to brows and eyelashes and dryest spots. This seems to give me the soft skin I desire and avoid getting it overly oily. I didn't see this as a suggestion posted so I thought I'd post. Definitely good cleansing is needed prior to application along with using every two or three nights works for me to keep things balanced so I thought it might help some who've tried this and gotten too oily.

I use Vaseline every night on my face. It helps keep my skin smooth and soft. I had skin tags on my neck removed by a dermatologist and she told me to put Vaseline on the scars which felt like burns! I was so surprised to see how smooth my neck looked after it healed. I swear by Vaseline! I also put it on my feet after I soak them and exfoliate the dead skin, I put socks on and go to bed! I have psoriasis and my mom used to chase me around the house tring to slather me in that stuff and when i tell you I HATED IT SO MUCH... lol. because of bad memories i haven't wanted to try it in years. but i might have to give it a go now... i usually use ponds on my face. it works alright but not really for all day when its dry in winter. still gets dry in places especially when i get any spots of psoriasis pop up on my face (which thankfully is rare)

Hi I from Chicago, Illinois and when I was a little girl my grandmom would put Vaseline on my face doing the winter, because it protects your from from the cold air also the wind. But when I got older I stop because I already have oily skin on my face and to me Vaseline is feel heavy on my face. But do use it after I wash up or take a shower. Recently my under eyes region started getting very irritated and reddish. I consulted a derm and she said it is contact dermatitis. And even gave me antibiotics and ointment but nothing worked. I myself tried applying vaseline as it seemed soothing and trust me it worked wonders. ( Try it for eczema or dermatitis it really works but try to apply overnight not in the morning as it might cause uv damage) Ps: Use moisturizer along with vaseline to lock in all the moisture

U can use vaseline after your night moisturizer to clog the moisture in your skin for a long time, but make sure you use a right amount of both ..not too much or too little

Okay so what you need to do is apply your activities, moisturise and then add vaseline, quite a bit. It's known as slugging!. You should do a before and after of that!! Tht would be so good! Whatever you do, don't swap out your moisturiser for it!

I thank my daughter for advicing me to utilize Vaseline I commence using it just yesterday the way my face was so dry black patches and frustrated but for 2 days I see a change yesterday she was having an app and I suppose to drive her I didn't feel like going out of the house bcos my face was so dark and itching but now my face is very smooth even though the dark pigmentation still there but light I anticipating when am I going to see all patches gone, problem with me I am inpatient I pray to God to provide me with the trueth for myself, patient and consistent to use it not to rush to change from Vaseline to other brand.. I have done the Vaseline challenge and yes, it works! However, I also decided (this week) to do a coconut oil challenge. I'm on day three. So far so good. I have heard that Vaseline is very good for a rash that has broken out on your skin. My friend tried it after taking anti-biotics, going out in the summer sun without sunscreen and ended up with a horrible rash on her cheeks. She applied Vaseline and the rash had disappeared within a day. They say it's because Vaseline holds in natural moisture on your skin, needed to heal the rash. Go know. I love Vaseline. The coconut oil feels like a dream going on, and your skin stays moist without being greasy all day. But will it work for a full week? That's what I'm waiting to know. PS It's important to get organic.

@@Lamby1010 Yes,I have used it everyday since a Teen.Do it at night after you wash your face and do a good amount since you'll be in the comfort of your home.When you wake up majority will have soaked in your skin,then do your normal skin routine.I also take Solage Vitamin E capsules in the AM and PM(I started taking those in my early twenties).For our skin it's good to also treat from the inside out and drink a lot of water and coconut water!

You cracked me up when you put it on your dog! When I was a home health nurse, I used to ask seniors their beauty secrets and most of them would say Vaseline at night! I use Vaseline mixed with lotion because in the winter my skin can become extremely dry. I use Olive Oil on my face prior to going to be at night or one of my facial night creams. Hey, also, I just wanted to say! The molecules in vaseline are too big to clog your pores. That's why it works! It creates a layer of skin to keep moisture in. Also tip, if you have really dry skin, apply a moisturiser first because vaseline itself isn't super moisturising.

If you have oily or combination skin don't apply vaseline on your face... It will clog your pores and cause acne ... I've done this mistake in the past and it ruined my skin though I didn't let it sit on my face for longer period of time but I used to remove makeup using vaseline after doing this for 3 to 4 days my skin broke out crazily amd it didn't heal very easily... It took months to recover

You have to know that Vaseline alone is not a moisturizer. You have to put a moisturizer before and than you can use Vaseline to seal in the moisture and it prevents the skin from epidermal water loss and makes the top skin smooth.

Hey all Here are the results of mine DAY 1 : ✅ So what I did was I applied a bit lot of Vaseline in places of pimples and left it for 20 minutes and then cleaned it with a wet tissue and then took a little vaseline and applied all over my face and left it Overnight. Vaseline or anything 'greasy' should never be applied to a fresh burn where the superficial part of the skin is missing. In addition to being occlusive, it is non-sterile, promotes bacterial proliferation on the surface of the wound, and may lead to infection. The initial aim in first aid burn treatment is to reduce the latent heat of the burn, thereby reducing skin damage by immersing the burnt area in cold water - NOT Vaseline. Putting anything greasy on a burn "locks" the heat IN the burnt area, and it continues to 'burn'....do NOT burst a blister either, but allow this to heal. Once it's begun to heal, (possibly days later) you can use a very sheer coat of Vaseline to moisturize the area. Vaseline has a lot of uses, but you mentioned to use it on burns and that is inaccurate.

If you know,vaseline is a skincare hacks it use for moisturiser lock..i usually apply vaseline after regular moisturiser…this step we call it “slugging” in skincare routine…it works wonder on my skin ☺️

No it's because vaseline alone is not an moisturizer you have to put a moisturizer and than go with vaseline to seal it in. Vaseline is just an okklusive and make the top of your skin smooth and prevent you from epidermal water loss.

Here's the thing about using Vaseline on your face. If you have eczema or if your skin is acne prone or overall sensitive, please do not do this. I remember the days before skincare was even a trend and I applied Vaseline every time my skin would itch from eczema or was overall super dry. Let me tell you, big mistake. Breakouts all over my face and on top of that, even more itching. Don't do this, guys. It'll only cause more problems in the long run. Since petroleum jelly is water-repellant-not water-soluble-it forms a barrier over your skin. It traps moisture below your skin's natural barrier, creating an illusion of hydration. However, it also traps toxins, dirt, and other contaminants under that barrier-and keeps moisture out.

I have oily skin and it easily breaks out and I have been using vaseline at night time without any problem. You have to make sure to clean your face very well beforehand and use a serum and moisturiser that works for your skin, then apply some vaseline on top. I wash my face again when I wake up and my skin feels sooo supple throughout the day. It’s also healed some dry spots on my face that were caused by applying too much retinol.

Try washing your body or face with head and shoulders. It helps with itchy and flaky skin. It’s meant for dandruff but it’s helped me with eczema on my face. Try it for a week

That shouldn't happen because it's non comedogenic and doesn't block pores. Make sure you wash your hands and cleanse your face properly before applying. It has actually helped my acne massively, but i've been using it in combination with retinol underneath.

Its basicly PETROLIUM oil. So it blocks water from escaping through your skin. I will assume very efficient in AC environments, ehere the AC normaly would wreck havoc and pull moisturie put of your skin. It also becomes a layer protecting your skin from external toxins reaching the skin. BUT it is petrolium. So the ingrifirnt is actually toxic in itself. So it boils down to what is least toxic. The petrolium ingridient vs external toxins reaching the skin+water getting pulled out of skin by AC etc.

@@GracePower-hh5by after using your regular moisturizer before bed , just take a small amount of vasline on your palm , rub both hands let the vasline get melted after that just gently dab your palm on your skin , it'll lock moisturizer and you'll get the dewy look in morning ✨

Guys, if you're bothered for clogging your pores, make sure to use warm or slightly hot water to wash your face to open your pores, it will cleanse your pores deeper.. then after washing your face with warm water, use cold water to close the pores, or scrub an ice cube to your face to tighten your skin

Vaseline gives me a clear skin but it makes me 2 shades darker, otherwise it gives me a very beautiful glowing and smooth skin
