See this is the reason why I feel that having a balanced opinion on this matter is really important. In this previous video, it was evident that you tried too hard to convience that these fear mongering thing is not that serious problem if you can compensate it for rest of the days of week and you gave example of the people who perform in such competitions and all, not realising that such people are professionals and very few people out there who have this amazing self control, I'm glad that me and my father are but the fact is rest of my family aren't. So I knew both the perspectives. You looked at the situation from just one point of view which was just yours but did not have a clear picture about the masses. Here there was a clear picture given by the expert which I'm glad you showed. But there are some aspect where I beg to differ, for instance 57:42, here ma'am said this much sugar in this bottle and all comparison in simple terms is baseless because you don't consume the whole bottle at once but the thing is, people are being convienced by the advertisers that it is a pure tomato ketchup so people don't mind taking up some extra not realising what they are consuming on the name of pure tomato ketchup. In my opinion, having a correct information is an absolute necessity but along with that you should understand your body type too. If you know the you don't have enough control on your craving then you should avoid it. Also a thing, I know which KZbin video you were talking about, yes, he was taking about fruit juices without the pulp and all because he clearly stated that if you eat it you get the fibers which helps to excrete the waste from the body easily and if you take just the juice, you won't get enough benefit and your sugar level increases too, nevertheless, it's okay once in a while. In the previous video, I had a lot to say but then felt like nothing would matter to you because until and unless you meet an expert, you will not believe a random person commenting on a video. Still.... As a fitness enthusiast only thing I always advice people is to take correct information along with that understand your body type and body pattern. If studies shows that's something in moderation is okay but you know that if you start taking it (based on your previous pattern) and you will exceed the moderation then you should avoid it no matter what studies shows because there are various factors that affect the experiments and you will have a different factors affecting you which only you know better so take your decisions carefully.

Pranav, next time do one with a licenced psychologist. People are really uneducated about mental health and think simply doing yoga and meditation can cure it. While meditation may help to some extent while you're going through temporary stress or sadness, clinincal depression and anxiety disorder need medical treatment in the form of psychotherapy or medication( in very severe cases). The overpopulation and high-competion in india make the youth very prone to mental health disorders. And the quacks capitalize on it. It's hight time we stop stigmatizing mental health and give it as much importance as physical health. We should encourage people to seek help when they deserve it. Period!

@@kesupatra7839Whatever the f**k it is, But it is nowhere close to proper modern medical treatments. Stop glorifying yoga as an alternative of medicine. maybe yoga can give you some relief but never ever. I said never ever compare your yoga to medical treatments. If your yoga is soo powerful then why hundreds and thousands of people lost their life in first and second wave??? If your yoga is powerful then why Narendra's promoted vaccine that too researched in the UK's oxford University.

Great work man! The main things I took from this video are: 1. Instead of sugar, control the total calorie intake to reduce the chances of insulin resistance 2. Make effort to create an environment which encourages positive food choices 3. Cravings are caused by imbalance/insufficiency of proteins in the meal so try to have a balanced meal. Thanks again Pranav!

Your channel has been eye opener for me & is definitely doing great work in debunking pseudoscience that seems to be all around us. I have learnt a lot from your channel that i previously did not know. Having said that, I do find that your approach to nutrition is biased towards 'calories in, calories out' approach & you seem to have selected experts who have their own inherent bias towards this. I urge you to read the work of Robert Lustig who have criticized this approach. Just because something worked for you, does not mean it will work for everyone (this is especially the case in nutrition). Please relook Or even tell us what do you think of methods advocated by others like Robert Lustig.

That is a super video! My nutritionist (& volleyball teammate) told me you had this video up and i love it! As a relatively new subscriber, I want to add that finding your channel has helped me understand my colleague at my old work place (she's Indian). How India handles science and scriptures makes how she is and her opinions fall into place in my mind! She's into crystals, chakras and a VERY devout religious practitioner and a Sadhguru "follower". I now understand how a biotech PhD can be not interested in science outside of work. (I'm an engineer & chemist and I consume science passionately, specially green technologies 😉) I'm amazed how your country is toward science. Anyway, keep doing what you do, it's great work!

I'm not a nutritionist, but I think fructose got short shrift here. Sugar (sucrose) is half glucose- half fructose. Glucose from sugar (or from starches) can be used by all cells in the body, but fructose is completely unnecessary for humans and can only be processed by the liver. Excess fructose is deposited in the liver as liver fat, and has many bad metabolic effects. Check out the interviews of Dr. Robert Lustig for more info.
@TobiasRieper00710 ай бұрын
Yes, Dr. Robert Lustig is, I believe, the world's foremost expert on this topic, as he is a scientist and researcher with vast scientific knowledge as well as a practicing pediatric endocrinologist for a long period of time. Once you watch his lectures or any of his discussions you would gain in-depth knowledge and understanding which would empower you to make better health-choices and take better responsibility of your health. Knowledge and understanding in my opinion is always empowering.

Can you make a video on how to research properly? Earlier I used to just believe what people said in youtube videos. Right now I try to read the sources that people give in their descriptions. But how can I actually find info on the internet? I can do some google search, then there are certain websites, universites, articles, researches, analysis, etc. How do I know what info. is correct and what is not?
@maxpayne69.18 күн бұрын
Tertiary, Secondary & Primary sources. Primary are original papers or studies. look for the one in reputed journals. You can use chatgpt for combing through hundreds of sources faster . Just be sure to consistently ask chatgpt in your prompts to only include authoritative & trusted sources. Always ask it for verifying the info in the end .
