I want to thank you. I watched a old video of yours, I believe when you first started the carnivore diet. I seen all those good meats you were cooking and I said to myself I can do that. In 2 days I'll be carnivore 4 years. Yesterday I had some great news from my ophthalmologist. He said not only are my eyes not getting worse, but have started to improve!! It's the first real proof for me that what I'm doing is helping me. It took 4 years to see improvement for me. 60 days is a good way to start and il sure alors everyone will see Somme benefit, but some symptoms may take a long time to fix.

I have a question. I just watched a video from Dr. Berg to get his opinion on a carnivore diet and he said what I was thinking is eating just meat can cause problems like too much phosphorous. I had always heard too much protein could screw up the kidneys or cause gout. I was wanting to try this diet, but now I'm scared to. He said temporary is fine, but long term is not good. I'm so confused now.

I keep starting to write about my health stuff, but that starts to become “the comment” so I delete. The thing I want to say is: you are a constant inspiration for me. Since the moment I saw your symptoms and I was hollering at the KZbin videos “It’s Lyme!! Get help fast!!!” until now, you give me hope and true inspiration to never give up. I am not sure I’ve gotten through any of your videos without tears; when you wince, when you’ve talked about your purpose and your kids and the glint of determination that flashes in your eyes, when you’ve hobbled on feet that feel like they’ve been beaten, and when you see victory and you push through regimens that most people don’t have a clue about. When it seems like life used to be just floating along compared to pushing every moment like you’re walking through a sea of peanut butter… when it appears to others that less has been accomplished than “before”… you KNOW you’re putting out more than you ever have in your life. And you’re amazing! Thanks for being real. I pray for you and your family regularly; I know we have not, and will likely not meet on this side of Heaven, but I’m so thankful for your channel. May the Lord bless you and your family, bring health and healing, bless your marriage and kids. May your sleep be peaceful, your days joyful and productive. May your kids be brought up and live out the values that you’re instilling in them, and may you all and your property be kept safe in the hands of the Lord.

Cutting as much sugar from my diet as possible has made the biggest difference for me, this includes fruit. I also 23 hr fast. I treat myself to a coffee with pasture raised butter in the morning, then eat between 6 and 7 pm. My body also prefers low carbs so I do a lot of meat and leafy green meals. I also avoid peanuts, chicken eggs (unfortunately), black pepper, Chia seeds, sesame, tuna, bakers & brewers yeast, and garbanzo since 2019 due to food testing I had done. I’m not sure how I even survived before these changes because I almost feel like the inflammation becomes unbearable even thinking about consuming these things now. I’ve found stinging nettle to be pretty effective when I have bad inflammation in places like my hand/knees/elbows. All of this was in response to thousands of dollars and too many hours seeking traditional medical care where, in the end, I was told I had two options to TRY to diagnose. A chemo med that would wipe out my immune system which was already out of whack, or a pill that would require liver testing regularly as liver failure was a major side effect. I said that was the most ridiculous starting point for a diagnosis I’ve ever heard of and that I would be changing my eating habits to see what I could do there first. Offended the Dr told me there’s no scientific evidence changing your eating habits can affect your health. I haven’t seen a doctor since 2018 and I do not think I ever will again. I feel bad for people that commit so much of their time and funds for medical train just to push pharmaceuticals. They are really missing out and I’m not sure how they sleep at night.

The carnivore diet is a very speculated and frowned upon topic in my community and where I live, so I've just accepted that I am going to be alone doing this, cause I aint gonna stop this wonderful diet. In 3 months time of eating meat, eggs, cheese and lots of healthy animal fat with a few cheat days, I lost 33 pounds and kept the weight after doing a western diet for 3 months after due to lots of traveling. I started yesterday again and cant weight to get to my ideal weight of 220 pounds, or less. My goal is to loose 107.8 pounds this year, of which 33 is already gone. I've got till new years to do it, and I cant wait😁. Justin congratulations on making 2 months and I hope you're healthy only improves more and more.

One thing I've taken to doing when eating any grains or high carb foods. Is having a full glass of water before. Considering they tend to both be rough on your insides. And absorb a lot of the water, that helps you digest. And I try to have another within an hour after as well.

Dairy causing loads of inflammation! And grains. I have congenital Lyme and can't have sugars, really no fruit, grains or dairy. Itstopped my pain for 5+ years. Dairy causes inflammation in SOME people. I did strict for 60 days last year and then adding back dairy plus a little bit of fruit 1-2 times a week. Tried some veggies thought I was doing ok but then Thanksgiving came and made a mistake of having key lime pie. December I was fine until I indulged a little to much again but didn’t stop. I started bloating and my feet swelled so bad it was starting to hit the plate and screws I have in my ankle. So on Jan 1 I started again with strict plus a little more butter with each meal was going back through my notes and realized my fats were low. Then after 60 days added dairy and tea (only 14oz a day so I have it with dinner). My inflammation is back down and my stomach is starting to go down more.

Can you give examples of each meal/snack you ate during meat only. We don’t eat enough meat in our house. We aren’t daring enough to try much. The cost at the market becomes prohibitive when it turns out to be something no one will eat. I would love some ideas. Also, with the same notion of putting your chickens in the garden, we plan to expand our garden next year. I spent too much time this spring digging up the grass to make it any bigger. Silly us…we have a Pasture Pig…we’ll move him over to the garden area come fall and let him do all the rooting he wants and till (and fertilize)the new garden area for us!

If you’re going to eat yellow squash, be sure to peel and remove the seeds, that goes for any squash or cucumber. Peanut is not a nut, it’s a bean and causes inflammation. Macadamia, Walnuts and Pistachio nuts are good. Sweet Potatoes are much better for you than white potatoes. Mushrooms and avocados are very good for you. You can eat most beans if you pressure cook before making something with them. Peel and seed all tomatoes. Be very careful as you add foods back, a lot of what happens is in the gut that causes inflammation and pain in the body and joints. Obviously you don’t eat grains or flour, no white sugar either, I eat stevia. Dark chocolate is good, no milk chocolate.

I’m wondering if as you add vegetables back into your diet, have you ever considered adding microgreens? Maybe that’s a stupid question since it wouldn’t be sustainable to get the amount of seeds you need for microgreens in homesteading. Microgreens are up to 40% more nutrient dense gram for gram though.

Check out Dr. Gundry’s Plant Paradox. He does advocate more plant than meat, though you don’t have to. But he talks about lectins in plants some have more then others. It does have some merit.

Hate to say it Justin but 5,000 steps isn’t very many. My hubby does over 18,000 steps every day at work. Seriously. Just thought I’d mention it. 🥰❤️🇨🇦

It's definitely not a panacea. I suppose it could be for some. A year in and my scalp psoriasis hasn't gone away or even moderated contrary to what others have found with there auto-immune issues. My weight loss has plateaued but I'm not too concerned as I'm 41, 5'9" @ 165 lbs. But... I feel better than I did at age 30. I have no food cravings (besides fatty beef) I've always been starving my entire life no matter how much I ate. I would have extreme hunger pangs. I would crash everyday at around 1 pm. So I'll stick with it, I know that much. But like this gentleman, I don't get anxiety over having a piece of fruit every couple of months or maybe some broccoli or something. But I will never touch a grain or a refined sugar product ever again. I fear that being hungry feeling so much.
