Sucks that that dealership ruined it for you. RSV4 is still a cool bike for sure. Also congrats on getting a 2025 Ducati Panigale V4! I'm ok with the single sided swing arm gone. I liked it, but like you said if this is better, riding wise that's what counts. I do dislike the side fairing lacking the gills in comparison to the other Ducati's. FastlaneD talked about it and I tend to agree. They're cool now, but those ones were so good. And the winglets would look more sick in carbon. But again, you can all change that out I guess, so yeah. 😆Curious to see the content and plans with it too. And to that one road. 😆 The dealership of the Ducati seemed super chill for sure.

Congrats my guy! I like that Ducati doesn't care what "other people" think, cuz " other people" aint pay'in the bills. Faces on podiums is what pays the bills and that's where sponsors pay the big bucks! To be seen out in front = exposure! Riders want to buy winning products! The old swing-arm looked great, but had too many limits...evolve or go extinct! Ducati knows what's up! It's basic ecomomics. Peace!

@chrisvantassel88675 ай бұрын
Nice to see a guy who is honest about his Ducati range. I could not agree more that the 950 SS is almost criminally under rated and under appreciated. The Panny's are amazing but absolutely useless on the street. Maybe this new one is better but how can you make 200+ HP with a 16k redline useful on the street? I have owned them all and without a doubt my favorite Ducatis by far are the 950SS, 950 Hyper SP, Desert X and Pikes Peak. If I rode track it would be a different story but I am telling ya, the Hyper and SS are incredible on track as well. Would I own a Penny or Street Fighter? hell yes but I have ridden them many times and do not enjoy even the V2 versions of the SF and Panigale as much as that 950 engine. The V2's still don't come alive until 8k rpm. The Desmo engines have way better torque and feel more like 140hp vs 111hp. One thing I will say as I have owned many Ducatis is, especially the Desmo engines, they absolutely suck during the break-in period. Once you hit about 2500 miles they just smooth out and open up, they start to smooth at 600 miles but peak at 2500 imho. I feel like people who test drive a new bike with the Desmo engine make their buying decision on a false representation of the real experience. The V2's and the V4's seem to be less agriculture during break-in and leave a better impression. Oh ya, I actually dig the look of this new Panny....I actually like it better than the outgoing model.

I see you're on HWY 14. That's my old stumping grounds. Lived in the Hoodriver area . Even under the HoodRiver bridge on the Washington side. I built sailboards there back when wind surfing was popular. Do you know the White Salmon fish hatchery? I've seen some crazy things there. My friend had an accident by the train tracks. He jumped off his bike at around 140 mph. My best bike was the 2016 Aprilla RF. Never had a problem with it ! So you bought a Ducati and I will be interested to see how you think it compares to the Aprilla. You know I bought 4 Ducati's ! 1975 750TT 1993 888 1995 916 Senna and 1997 916. I am working on getting my KTM 690 Duke under 300 pounds! Building a CRF 250L again and see what can be done to gain 10 hp from the 29 it has before . I get around 2000 kilometers per set of tires some times miles per set of tires how about you ? There are some good canyon roads up there. When I live in troutdale I would ride my bicycle every day to the lookout or the falls. Enjoy your videos thanks.

I considered buying a Aprilia RS 660, even though it's a bit overpriced, IMO. I was willing to pay extra because of the look! I decided not to buy it mainly because there in only one dealership/repairshop within 240 miles of Washington, DC. I can't risk having something go wrong with the bike or wanting to upgrade it and having to wait an extra long time either for a part or an available appointment. So I decided to buy a Suzuki instead. Their repair shops are everywhere!
