Life is all about choices and priorities. You only live once, so live it to the fullest. You owe that to yourself. This comes from a guy, that had stroke at age 52, after 35 years of working in my own business, basically 24/7. Btw: thats a VERY classy car - and you deserve it. Congrats from Denmark 😉👍

It’s truly a stunning car Matt. You have worked immensely hard to establish your business, online courses, and KZbin channel. As a 58 year old who has been on dialysis since 43, I urge you to cast off any feelings of guilt. I had made myself a good job in the civil service, but when illness knocked on my door I had nothing much but my home (and I’m still paying off the mortgage). Life is for living. Enjoy every moment because we don’t know the moment. Plus, that car deserves you; as you said, you’ll love and cherish it, and maintain it properly. Enjoy it Matt. 😉👍🏼

Its called... "Working-Class Guilt" Matt. The old... "Who does he think HE is?!" The same thing applies if you are "working-class clever". Ive struggled with that all my life. I totally "get" where you are coming from. Its all about "expectations". Your own...others...friends and family. Its a very British thing, designed to keep social order, going back into dim and distant history.

In America, people will display their 'belongings' and it isn't so much a bragging session, as it is, "I've worked hard and bought this." It's a display of their hard work. You're correct about the class thing, but I think it extends to Europe a little too. We deride ostentatious things because we assume they were bought by amoral means. Also we need to account for the baseness of mankind and Jealousy.

During lockdown you’re videos were something to look forward to even if they were filmed from inside an Insignia 😳 From the tales of selling bangers in Spain to having a really successful KZbin channel, highly reputable garage and some amazing cars, it’s great seeing you succeed. You’ve said you work almost everyday, grafting hard and you’re reaping the rewards - you deserve it! Don’t feel guilty! We need to take a page out of our transatlantic cousins book of praising ourselves and each other. Being British, there’s something in our DNA where we default to despising those who have achieved and not acknowledging when we do ourselves. Furthermore, you’ve made a thorough online course to help kick start people into starting their own car company. All I can say is well done and enjoy life! Stay safe Matt 👏😊

Always enjoyed my Range Rovers but despite them still being the best IMO the image has been cheapened ironically as the cost has accelerated. In the end it made me feel like a marketing man’s dream as I bought into the latest models etc - it all feels so artificial. I have never felt better since switching back to much cheaper motoring. No stress and most cheaper cars are more than adequate. Mortgages paid off is a much better feeling than the latest Land Rover offering.

After a lifetime of being a Range Rover and Land Rover owner, 2-years ago when wanting to upgrade from my last Range Rover, I was looking at an L405. Here in Western Australia for not less than $100,000 you were looking at an 8-year old car which would have around 120,000kms minimum. Unfortunately, my head won over my heart and for slightly less money I bought a brand new Y62 Patrol Ti-L. Whilst Range Rover may always hold my heart It just didn’t make financial sense. @David Busch I have to agree.

Interesting video this, and oddly not really to do with the car, though it's lovely. What you're experiencing happens to many person who come from humble, typically working class, backgrounds. For years, the things you have access to now, were the preserve of the "old" rich & the famous. But you've worked hard, generated decent wealth to allow you to afford these things and every right to enjoy them as anyone else, if not more due to the effort it took to get there. Remember this tho' - regardless of all the trinkets & high life, you will always be that lad from Stockport, it'll be in your DNA and never leave by the sounds of it, thankfully. That is something money can't buy - integrity, honesty & humbleness. Enjoy it but stay humble & kind.

I pinch myself at times as can’t believe just how well I have done - it is down to working hard and now I am reaping the rewards. But having a reasonably humble background from North Wales it does feel weird - but enjoyable! Enjoy your rewards in life - we are only here once

You put the pieces of the puzzle together all this video. Most people are raised with mentalities of "Don't show off your wealth, all debt is bad debt" etc that their parents/ their environment/ their teachers teach them and if you never want to be richer than those people, then go ahead and listen to their advice on money. You're making it, you've hit a great milestone so celebrate your victory and keep going because you're only getting started!

This is brilliant. I'm 58, working class English background. Did very well with my own businesses, love cars, patriotic. Notice you like the same Insta posts as me (Boris, Royal Family etc) Always felt guilty and a fraud for having nice things and flying business class. Keep doing what you're doing, we're a dying breed. If I still lived in the UK I'd buy all my cars from you. Enjoy what you have, you've earned it all.

Completely get the guilt thing Matt, not that I've ever experienced the lifestyle you're enjoying now. But here's the thing...you've worked for it, nothing was given to you and you do not take it for granted...nuff said.

Matt, you are a gentleman and an extremely hard working and honest guy. You have created your own success. Don't put yourself down, Roy Keane too is an honest and hard working guy..why shouldn't you both enjoy each other's company on a plane trip....Please don't put yourself down , you got your work ethic from your parents... Yes there are lots of begrudgers in the big world, I am sure everyone here on this link wish you every success. By the way I have listened to your advice and just bought myself a Range Rover Sport , Thank you for being you. Wishing you the best of health and continued success.

Welcome “back” lol, very nice RR once again. I’ve just sold my 2008 RRS and gone for 2010 4.4TDV8 Autobiography, oh my my my what a car lol. Great video mate, your channel gave me the nudge to get into RR and I love it. Had the TDV8 for 6 weeks and due to it not being loved or looked after just spent £2.5k getting bits sorted, fingers crossed I’ll get 12 months trouble free cruising in absolute comfort. Cheers Matt

Bloody lovely car Matt! Don't feel guilty. Think of all the sacrifices you've made over the years (like working 7 days a week etc) - then think of this car, your other 2 stunning mercs, your lifestyle, flying business class, TO DUBAI! All this is the culmination of those years of sacrifices! Enjoy it! Live YOUR dream!

Story time.... A few years ago, I knew a guy, about the same as age as me and with a similar upbringing who's job was piloting Eric Clapton's boat. He told me a story about when him and Mr Clapton were in Falmouth discussing the refit of another super yacht, they went for a walk when Clapton stopped, looked over Falmouth and broke down. He asked what had he ever done to deserve a lifestyle that he was enjoying....... Can happen to anyone but hard work should be rewarded - if not, whats the point. You're doing a great job and have a huge following - that's priceless mate...👍👍

I don't usually comment on videos but let me just say this to you Matt, cars are meant to be driven, not kept in storage gathering dust, they're meant to be enjoyed as Lord only knows what our Grandchildren & great Grandchildren will be stuck with, also I'll just repeat what my dear old Dad used to say time and time again, "there's no pockets in a shroud" Says it all really Matt! Keep 'em coming 😉👍

Life is a combination of peaks and valleys. From a previous video,I recall you saying you'd gone a bit stale and let yourself go mentally and physically through overwork etc. But you reinvented your outlook and your approach to this thing we call life and from your valleys, you navigated your way to your peaks and you're flying high. We're here for a good time, not a long time,so enjoy the fruits of your creations mate. As my mum would say,"there's no pockets in a shroud. You can take nothing with you". When we're gone,we're gone. Kudos to you.

Ex-Cheshire lad here, have been living in exile for 30 years. I remember chatting to the Rolls-Royce dealer at the car show in Sydney. He had a wonderful Silver-Shadow for sale, and I nearly purchased it there and then. What stopped me? Partly guilt that a Cheshire lad like me could buy one and more importantly, I did not want my dream of owning a Roller to come to an end. I had no such issue buying a Bristol or a Ferrari 400 (cheap back then). I am now back at the stage where I am buying a Roller - such is life!

You are living your life with urgency being the best you can be. That is my observation and if we all did that the world would be a better place. Congratulations for being you and I have only best wishes for you. I have never seen in such detail a second hand car dealer being so honest and caring about the business.

Our lives are grounded in our values and they develop as we mature and change. It is absolutely right to ask yourself exactly those questions and, to my mind, never take driving a Mercedes or flying business class for granted. My view is to never lose a sense of wonder and your true self-identity - it's what makes your videos so interesting and educational.

When I heard your thoughts about becoming successful in short period of time and at the same time you know that your audience’s level of success is somewhere in the middle, you started to miss that middle level. Cos you’ve almost reached the top and you think what next? The real level of satisfaction is always when you give something to others. In your case you can add to your daily routine something like, helping someone find his dream car or the car he needs to provide for his family etc. When you make others happy, that very thing will make you happy as well. That is real secret of fulfillment and satisfaction .

Fair play to you Matt. A used car dealer with a fleet of flash motors (from the wrong side of the Pennines) should fill me with a mixture of fear and jealousy. Yet you've never come across as anything other than an: honest, hardworking, down to earth guy indulging his passions. I need to pull my own finger out and allow myself to enjoy my own motoring passion. Although I do enjoy the utter invisibility and relative luxury the Superb offers.
