Just picked up my 660 last weekend. Ordered a belly pan and frame sliders from the dealer, they were cheaper than I thought they'd be. The frame sliders come with replaceable pucks and not a complete eye sore. Love this bike! Super fun and comfy ride.

I bought a 2020 wr250r a few months ago. Absolutely love it. Changed the gearing and had the rear shock revalved and I ride with my buddy's yz450f.

I just bought a used 2013 wr250r and it surprised me, could do EVERYTHING my dirt bikes can do but a little more comfortable doing it. Put it In second and rev it to the moon and she will go up anything.

Just got mine, in white, about 3 weeks ago. 425 Lbs with a full tank. 1st mod was adapting a Sachs rear shock. The OEM shock way too harsh on dampening. The forks , on the other hand are near perfect for a non adjustable. 32mm sag, with 190 Lb rider.

Last October I got a ‘20 ZX-6R for my first motorcycle. Bought it cash with literally 1 mile on it. Learned on it and am having tons of fun on it. Granted, I grew up on dirt bikes and still ride them... but people can def learn on a 600 class bike (or 636 lol). But small displacement bikes are awesome. Def don’t HAVE TO get a big 600 for your first motorcycle. It was just the right bike for ME. Find the right bike for you. You’ll know it when you see it.

I'd like to ride one. The Trident I mean. I got my Grandfather's 1971 T150T on the scissors now going through it. Cleaning AMAL carbs...new battery, plugs. Probably go through the brakes and new rear tire.

re 1:20 ish . It's Hinckley Triumph's first attempt at a starter 650 - 700 cc starter bike. If you want to go back in time to Meriden Triumph there were a lot of 650s , although back in the day they were viewed a bit like the 1 litre sports bike of today ! ( Yeah, they did only have performance similar to Euro boys 47 BHP A2, and the drum brakes were terrible (I'm told) )

I went with the Matt Black and silver ice. Loved the silver tank but wasn’t sure a kit the red accents??? Also added the quickshifter, Bluetooth, heated grips, belly pan, usb socket and bobbins. Only waited 10 days from placing my order - at last a benefit from being in the UK 😂

@@craigdennen6193 Matt Black and silver ice is nice too I saw it in person but it was spoken for. I didn't love the red at first either, it has grown on me a bit. I'm thinking about trying some vinyl wrap on the radiator pieces and removing the sticker on the front fender. I'm ok with the red on the undertail. I ordered some accessories too but no ETA as of yet here in US (Cali). I'm not sure Triumph was prepared for the overwhelming interest in this bike. Cheers

The Sachs rear shock I used was from a 2012 Aprilia RSV 4 Tuono. 12 inch, eye to eye. Clearance issue on the swing arm end that required me to carve just a bit on the lower casting and use a shorter spring. I used a 5 inch long spring, with 1 inch spacer. a 6 inch spring can be used with no spacer. Got a 700 Lb spring from Penske which works for me , weighing 190 / 210 Lbs

Interesting to see your reactions to the Trident. They were similar here in Europe during the build up to launch and yes, they are supremely well built with an excellent TFT and package for the money. But. All road tests over here still pin the MT07 top for chassis and engine. Nice try though Triumph.

The Sachs shock I used can be had from Ebay for about $ 90 to 120 bux. Top spacers need to be machined a bit narrower and lower spacers shimmed .180 inch per side. Tha Sachs shock may be 1 Lb lighter than the all steel OEM shock.

Tires that come factory on a bike are “not” the same as the tire you buy in the store. They cut costs to make the tire more cost effective. There is a loss to both grip and longevity.
