The 55 wagon was actually measured to be faster than the sedan. It was 0.3 seconds faster to 60mph and if I recall, better on the skid pad. Probably due to better weight distribution?

Yes, testers here in Germany found out the wagon even drifts more controllable because there is a little more weight on the rear.

The factory 3 pointed star never gets old when your looking at it behind the wheel. Its easy to spot and a great reminder what your money went to when driving daily. I would never remove that on any MB, it's a sign of Germany Engineering: The Best or Nothing says it all. MB is the best German Auto Brand ever, period.

I love this car! In large part due to this channel I bought and e 320 wagon about a year ago. I call it my Anti minivan/battle wagon/ E'wagon. Bought in central Florida, a set of AMG wheels for less than 200 bucks, drove it straight home to Pennsylvania and my kids love it!

We had an e220 cdi s211 a couple of years ago and loaded literally 2200 pounds of rocks in the back of it. Plus 2 men and a full tank. The car drove perfectly fine. The air suspension pumped it up to the normal height and we had no warning lights for the entire 40min drive. Well, it felt like a boat at the rear while going over bumps but that's to be expected

this is why the hydro-pneumatic self-leveling suspension in the previous generation MB wagons is WAY superior to the air suspension. I brought home 2400 lbs of solid mahogany hardwood form Lowes in the back of my 'W210 E320 wagon and the car was completely level at all times with zero warning lights or issues. Also, SLS suspension doesn't really go bad like Airmatic does, only thing you even need to replace is the accumulator spheres maybe every 100-150k miles (super easy to do and cheap), and even when those go bad the car still remains level, just a stiffer in dampening. My current W212 E550 has Airmatic all around and it does not ride as plush as my E320 with SLS

In 2013 I test drove and tracked a 2013 CTS-V wagon on the COTA track in Austin Texas. It was just as fast as the coupe and handled great. You can still find them for sale.

Being a Diesel guy, and having had 5- 211's (2-'05 CDI's, '09 E320 Bluetec, & '04 E320 Wagon), the wagon has been the most useful of all of them (my daily driver now). My dream wagon would be a CDI, but alas, they are not available in the USA. However, if I ever find a good donor CDI sedan, Lord willing, my wagon will become a CDI!

Love the wagon. If you keep the E55 front, keep the front hood emblem. If you convert to E63 front, go for the flat emblem. Either way, a great looking car!!
