I bought the same model and started using it in January. I'm 6'0", a bit north of 300 lbs., and not young. I bought it primarily to add a bit of movement to my days. I used to walk half marathons, but more recently 10Ks and 5Ks. Your sequence of unpackaging it was exactly what I saw. The first thing I did, per the included booklet was to check belt lubrication. It was dry between the belt and the frame underneath, so I added oil, squished it back and forth to get it across the width of the belt, and then ran it for a minute or two to get the oil spread the length of the belt and frame. I did not need to adjust the belt position. I use it for 10-15 minutes, 3 or 4 times a week. For quite a while I was doing 3.0 mph, and a couple of weeks ago increased to 3.2 mph (I know, whoo-hoo!). I wish it had a bar across the front to help me stay centered, but I have it near a bookcase and lightly holding onto a shelf works fine. I do have to focus a little to stay centered L-R and F-B. That's the nature of the beast, not a defect, IMO. Has it helped me? Well, it adds ~.5 mile a day to whatever else I would do on work-out-days. Also, I have been VERY pleased with improved finish times in two recent 5Ks (I'm walking, so nothing world-beating). Another way of looking at it, $$, gym membership is ~$30/month here. I've used it in 4 months so far, so $120 saved, plus ~.15 gallon and ~20 minutes' round-trip drive every day I use it. From a $$ POV, it will have paid for itself in 8-9 months. Sorry, brevity is not my gift.

One of the very slightly annoying things to me in how I was using this was I didn't feel comfortable walking (at 3.0 and 3.2 mph) hands free. So I had been resting my hand on a nearby bookshelf, just to keep centered on the belt (not for balance). A week or so ago I changed to walking at 2.0 mph while reading, for about the same duration, and doing this hands-free. It worked, but I had to move the walking pad back and forth, because I was using a table which already had a purpose. Using a standing desk was not realistic, because $$ and space, but my wife thought of using an overbed table like what is used in hospitals and home care. It was just $70, assembled quickly, and is sturdy. It works a little better, because I can adjust the height, and get the walking pad to a slightly better position and angle.

Doing well there! Have you tried putting a riser under the front to amp up the workout for a given speed? Apart from the fitness side, how long can you mentally walk on it? Do you use it with a standing desk or TV? I am moving into a new place and considering a sit/stand desk and great monitor. All the reason to be there, standing. and with the threadmill...perhaps I could get a few hours of walking a day, during work or even just casual browsing/KZbin/binge watching?

@@Cloxxki, I have thought of using something to elevate the front, but my weight suggests to me that support in the middle or a wedge would be prudent for durability. I usually have music or am reading. Between boredom and other factors my longest spell to date has been 20 minutes. Since writing the post above I have obtained an over-bed table (such as hospitals use) and use that for the tablet I'm using for reading. I don't have or have the space for a stand-up desk. The table - wheeled and adjustable height - was $70 on Amazon.

I purchased one of these walking pads. I like having the ability to move it out of the way when not in use since I have limited space in the room I use it in. They do lack the incline function of a fuil-featured treadmill. I just take a piece of 1X2 or a 2X4 and stick it under the front of the unit to make the incline. when I want it. A low level hack for certain but it works.

Sorry if I'm telling you something you already know, but you can increase walking intensity by carrying weight. So if you had kettlebells, carrying a kettlebell makes it harder. Also you can fill a backback with sand and that'll get your heart rate right up.

I got this and used it yesterday and it worked great! Walked a full hour and I felt good about moving my body while working. It's a solid walking pad. Mine came out of the box just perfect and just needed some oil before using. My heart rate at 2.2 was good and I was sweating a little. A++

I bought this model and have used it for 30+ hours a week for about 6 months. Doing some regular oiling and that kind of cleaning. The biggest grip about it is the constant need for adjustments. I do really have to adjust this thing like 4 or 5 times a day (with about 7 hours of daily usage). It is basically impossible to keep this belt from sliding to one side or the other. I keep it right at 2mph.

I really enjoyed your review. I am torn with so many options. I am looking for something not too bulky and decent price tag. I work from home 100% and think this will allow me easy cardio (i broke my tibia and fibula) a little over 2 years ago and i cannot run due to the severity, well it is NOT recommended because i can easily roll my ankle and reinjure it. i am 51 bones are more fragile. so this seems like it could do me good in the comfort of my home all while still being active and working.

Overall great review! I'm sure that other people have commented about this already, but this pad was specifically designed for walking while working. I don't believe that it was meant to be used to bring your heart rate up as much as a treadmill would. If getting to your "fat burning heart rate" was the case; you'd need to use your traditional treadmill. I think that the simple answer is that this is ONLY meant to walk and get your 10,000 steps in. Overall, seems like a great product and one that I will purchase. Thanks!

@@FitnessFinance4u I believe that most people are looking for something similar, but just think about it... How would you or anyone be able to get any type of work done if you are on a "Pad" or "treadmill" that requires concentration? Simple answer is that someone will end up having an accident and that defeats the purpose of the PAD. The pad was simply designed to be slow enough so that you can actually get work done while not having to concentrate much on the fact that you're moving. Any other machine that would require a faster speed would make anyone lose their focus. Hope this helps.

Thank you for the excellent review. I’m 5 feet two, weigh about 115 pounds. I noticed the window display shows quantities that don’t make any sense. For example, for calories after 30 minutes on the walking pad, I’m getting 1.23 cal. And for distance I’m getting 63.3 miles. Time seemed correct at 30 minutes. Any thoughts on this would be helpful.

I did @3:35. I just needed to adjust the belt and that was it. The soft "ring" I heard was just the walking pads motor being on and I didn't notice it after a while.

I’d love to know how it holds up after a few months of walking 45 min daily. That’s what I noticed in most of the reviews of all walking pads. After 6 months to a year, they didn’t work. The motor burned out or the remote stopped working.

That would probably help, but I also think the pad doesn't go quite fast enough to get me into fat burning mode even if I did raise the front of it. Also, adding wood to the set up would make more cumbersome when wanted to remove it, or set it up, as I don't always want the walking pad under my stand up desk.

@@FitnessFinance4u IMO fat burning mode is overrated. And yes, avid walkers are often chubby, while race walkers are sticks in shoes. The Airrunner Evilseed is an affordable curved treadmills with modest step on height. I'm going to try a used one. Seems a lot more pleasant than motorized and/or flat treadmills.

Still want to do the outside walk as much as possible but if I can get a jump on the 15k while I am working then I will. 15k is the minimum goal daily. Dropped 50 lbs in the last 12 months.

Kurt, for your lower back pain, do about 1-2 minutes of crunches per day. Don't push it, if you feel *_any_* discomfort you're done for the day. I do them in bed. It was the "magic bullet" for me.

No. And I would personally stay away from that. It puts added tension on your tendons ( achilles, ankle and knee) which could lead to injury. I think I'm just going to upgrade my treadmill to one that has a 12% incline to get my heart rate up.

It’s really quiet, which I was surprised about. It holds up to 320lbs. I’m not sure about its longevity, but if I get over 10k reviews on this video, I’ll do a 3 or 6 month follow up. I searched and did not see a limit on continuous use, which I’m surprised about. We’ll see how it does long term.

Thanks I am in the market for a walking (actually light jogging) pad and put this in the search bar here. I see this barely got you to a fast paced walk so won't work for me. Just wondering if you came across any that would get you to a decent jog pace?

I didn't want to constantly have to move and remove something from under the treadmill to get an incline as I don't keep the walking pad under my desk at all times. Sometimes I put a chair in its place.

how do you juggle the walking under the desk treadmill vs as to walking out doors ? i know walking out doors is better for mental health and other health benefits according to google my only fear is i would start to get lazy and not going outside enough to walk in the fresh air and become to inside house accustomed thinking of getting one!

Good question. I always make time to walk outdoors. It's just a much more pleasant experience. However, if I'm short on my 10K steps for the day because of Zoom calls, etc, I then default to my treadmill.

I understand that if one is walking on a walking pad and their arms are not moving a Fitbit does not detect your steps. I thought in this video I saw you looking at something on your wrist that was telling you the steps. What are you using so that you can count walking path steps in your 10,000 steps?

I’m 5’ 10” and I would say decent strides, but not long. I think if I was over 6’ it might be too small.

What was the volume of the walk pad while you were using it? I know you had some clips where you were filming while walking and it didn't seem too loud but cameras can sometimes cut out continuous sounds like that. I just want to know, if I happen to be playing something, like music, out loud in the room rather than through headphones will I need to increase the volume to hear that better over the walking pad?

It's pretty quiet actually. Especially when I used it in my home gym, on the 1/4" padded floor, and on the carpet under my stand up desk.

There is a safety issue if you have more than one at home...the remote control is also controlling other treadmills and there is no adjustment for this.

I'm 5' 10" and I fit ok. I don't think it's big enough for anyone over 6', so if I were you I would pass on this one. I'm sure there are ones that can handle your height out there. Good luck!

Yes...you can do anything from a very slow walk to a nice jog. I think it goes between 1 and 6mph.

I’m referring to fat burning mode. This is the optimum heart rate one needs to be at in order to burn fat in your body. Fat burning mode is different depending on your age. Do a quick Google search and you can find some charts that can help you out.

Thanks for watching! It is pretty short. I'm 5'10" and it just fits me. I think if you were 6' or, over it wouldn't work. It is compact and made more for "light" walking.

Just bought and was able to use once. The panel now says 888 across it and will not reset back to 000. I tried shutting off, unplugging etc. Wondering if you know how to reset?

Renee...I haven't had that happen. I think it might be best to get in touch with Amazon and possibly return it right away. It might just be a faulty display. I'm sure this happens from time to time. Best to nip it in the bud right away so you return it in time under the warranty.

That's a good question Michael. I did some digging and couldn't even find a Sperax Website. I did find a Sperax Amazon page, but that was it. I recently bought a walking pad like this & I find a couple of times Ive lost my balance hurting myself, Does anyone have any tips/advice, Its starting to put me off using it , I have to look down at my feet the whole time Im on it and then literally leap off it when I want to finish 🤔

I think you definitely have to be careful. Some people may be able to work or browse the internet while walking, while others can't. Maybe it's best if you just walk for 30 minutes with some good music or a podcast? Either way, you're moving your body!

I haven’t bought one yet but I was thinking about that also. I want to be able to use it while standing at a desk so I can do computer work i.e. one thing for sure is catching up on all my emails. But I thought if I had an issue doing that I could position it looking out my window and simply watch what’s passing by while I’m walking on it
