Thanks so much! Would these balls play similarly to the balls on a typical pub table?
@AverageJoesPool Жыл бұрын
Well that would depend entirely on what balls they use on the pub table, some pubs have Aramith balls which are phenolic resin which is considered far superior to the poly resin such as with this set. Other pubs will indeed use cheap poly resin balls which would compare directly to this GoSports set for sure. What balls do you recommend on a budget
@AverageJoesPool Жыл бұрын
It depends on how tight the budget is!! At $30 these are great and probably as good as anything you'll find at this price. Next step up is Aramith Continental balls at $63 and are phenolic resin, which is a big upgrade. Review here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2iWY4l_o5VkhNU - and then the next step up from that would be Aramith Crown at $113 currently, review here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6OlhZyYe8SKprM . Basically, phenolic resin is better if the budget allows. You'll struggle to match (let alone beat) either of the two Aramith sets listed above within their price brackets. Would appreciate your method and input on getting back that high gloss on high end aramith’s.

Have you tried Aramith's Ball Cleaner and Ball Restorer. They are usually a great place to start. Hope that helps 👍

I do not recommend these balls, because they weigh more and you will get used to throwing harder and when you get to a good 9 foot table with decent balls, you will miss everything. I insist, please do not recommend this type of balls to play with. You will never learn to play.

A fair point! The biggest attraction of balls such as this set is 100% down to price, and a lot of people want to spend as little as possible. Sets such as this are not in the same league as phenolic resin sets from Aramith, but of course they are a fraction of the price. These are a long way from the worst set of budget balls we've seen, for the money they're actually ok! But agree compared to a $120 set of Aramith Crown's is like chalk and cheese, different ballpark! 👍
