The Gearwrench ratchets are damn good ratchets for their price point. They are owned by Apex Tool. Apex Tool also makes AutoZone's Duralast and Home Depot's Husky ratchets. Unfortunately Apex has shifted a lot of manufacturing from Taiwan to China.

Overseas steel manufacturing is a reality of the world we live in. For better or worse. Customer service is the way a tool company can set themselves apart these days.

Professional tech. I have many snap on ratchets and they now sit in my toolbox. My new locking flex head GW 120xp and my old 120s (a little short) are my go to wrenches now. The lock is shit on the new GW. They don’t lock positively but the detent and gears are strong enough that the head doesn’t flop around.

I'm not a fan of locking flex heads. It sounds like another part to get stuck.
